Well done SH you have made amazing progress!Your kitchen sounds great-I once used a special paint to cover cracks and it worked-might be worth a look.
I keep on looking at moving but sadly think I need to pay down debt first which means I’ll probably miss the stamp duty break.4 -

Waves.... at Echo, Tahlullah and other readers.
I had a busy week for work last week but had fun with paint in my spare time. We've had a reorganising and decluttering weekend. We've emptied our DVD/tv cabinet. We got rid of half the contents into a charity bag and the rest should fit in a zip up bag under a bed upstairs. DH mounted the TV on the wall so we can angle it around. We rarely use it anyway. That meant we could then move one of our chairs to space left by the cupboard removal so that there is more space next to my desk. I want to get a chair and screen from work as my neck hasn't been great at all. Although it improved somewhat when I raised the screen of the laptop and got a separate keyboard and mouse. The plan for now is a further furniture shuffle with a move of the previous TV cabinet upstairs to our bedroom - and then to move of a unit that is in there now into the new shed for now. DH also mowed and strimmed the lawns.
We had MIL over today as she's about to go into lockdown. We had to do a major tidy up for that. We fed her a roast beef dinner. She seemed to appreciate it. I gave DD her clothing allowance Friday and she's already ordered the clothes online and received them! It's been a good weekend overall - but shattered now. Off to bed early for me!

Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine3 -
You've been very busy again.
Having a proper screen makes a difference to working. Laptops are fine for occasional use / surfing the net, but not to work off all day.
Hopefully the local lockdown won't last too long and you can enjoy another roast soon.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks so MF and Mark. Still shattered today. DH doesn't feel well today. Achey. Shivery. He has had a headache for days. I feel like I might be about to get a cold.
We got the quote for fitting the worktops £850. Don't know what planet he is on. So back to square one.
In better news DD went on her bike. Ds has promised to assemble the bed frame we bought him to make more space in the garage.

Take it the guy didn't want the job then. That is rediculous.
Well done DD, hopefully DH feels better in a few days and DS sorts his bed out.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
£850. Either thinks you are desperate and will pay it or doesn't want the job. As I said, getting harder to find someone competent to do work for a reasonable price.
Hope you manage to get someone soon. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

You've been busy as usual! Well done on de-cluttering. I always found that kids, pets and cars are able to throw a spanner in the budget works. Every time you think you are on top of money a child, a pet or a vehicle will drain the coffers and if it's not one of those then a household appliance will break.Take care of yourself and get some relaxation amidst your busy life.5
