I will need to order some different size doors - and am still debating whether to change the height of the tall unit or just allow it to be floor to ceiling LOL. I will need different cabinet doors - but am tempted to wait to order them until the unit comes as I will then know my real life spacing better. I can send back what I don't need.
I slept a bit better last night but am still really tired. I've now lost just over 15lb since 9/4. Progress. Need to do more. DD is doing well with the painting of the doors - seems to be taking forever though. Good job I am only paying £5 an hour. She went the gym again yesterday. She is looking really trim - I reckon she has lost at least a stone too. We are going to an NT garden on Saturday - really looking forward to that. I want to try and book an NT property for DH's birthday on Monday - they open for bookings tomorrow am.
We have a strip of grass near where we live so at 11.30pm we let the dog off lead and let her race up and down it repeatedly. She was so happy!! Right - I'd better do some work now - good day all. We have a debt payment coming out in the next week and then one the week after. There will be £ news soon with debt going down I promise. DS is due to pay board again tomorrow which will be fab. He's earned another £2K this month. He's loving using our car and is being responsible about putting fuel in.

Chrystal said:SH and Grogged can you give me the specifics of the kitchen pull out drawers please?
At the time, about 2 years ago, they sold wire mesh drawers about 6" deep. The mesh was quite big, around an inch.
We also used one as a larder cupboard, ideal for storing tins and packet food.
Appreciate now you can get similar in most kitchen ranges these days.If it's not adding up, compound it!4 -
Brilliant weight loss. Think how many bags of flour worth of weight you aren't lugging round with you anymore3

Thanks Grogged and Blackcats
Paid £75 off a CC today. I have an important video call/meeting for work today. Hoping it goes well but fighting stress. Looking forward to NT tomorrow. Yesterday we took the dog for a walk at lunchtime. Tomorrow we go to an NT property - and now I am going to try and book one for MondayAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Can you do a mock up of your kitchen, then do both units to see which one would look better before committing?
It maybe something you or DS can do with p-shop or other image manipulation package.
CC is coming down each time you make a payment.
Have fun at NT tomorrow, do tell us about it 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Hope the call went well and hope you had a nice day out"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

Thanks MF - 1k3@ does have a mockup - package I could try. Another £76 paid out to CC today. DS's pay is late so not had board yet. If don't get it today - I will need to do a money shuffle.
Hi JWIL - the call went okay. It was an auditor and they were happy with the part I was responsible for and only wanted minor extra bits from others - so that was a huge relief.
The NT property was lovely on Saturday. The gardens had far more in bloom than I expected. I hadn't been in mid Summer before. We did nearly 7000 steps and 3 hours + driving so I was whacked. Pleased I could do it though - especially as it was steep in places.
Yesterday I cleared, cleaned and then primed the rest of the kitchen cabinets and gave them a top coat. I sanded an area I had done earlier in the week that I wasn't happy with and it looks much better now. Need to touch up the paint in a few places. I've found one kitchen door that still needs priming and painting on the back. I think after that I would just like to get the doors back on - and then make any final touch ups in situ. The cupboards at the top I've painted inside but the ones at the bottom I haven't unless they were stained like under the sink. Once they are dry - I plan to cut and place drawer liners cut to size in each cupboard to make them look pretty and are easier to clean.
As part of getting stuff clear to paint - I've moved some stuff into other cupboards - and some of it I may change permanently as it looks much better and makes better use of the space. I also want to clear out some items for good rather than put them back in our beautiful new space. I've been watching some decluttering programmes to help get me in the right mindset. At lunchtime DH and I are going to an NT property - this time with our dog - so looking forward to that.

The CC is going in the right direction. Perhaps remind DS his board needs to be paid by a certain date as it's used to help the family.
I'm pleased you enjoyed the NT, have you any more lined up?
Kitchen is coming along well and the draw liner ideas are great, may have to borrow that! Never thought about 1k3@ having a kitchen mock up package. I've found watching programs do give the push in the right direction, especially to get going.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4
