Good to see you back, and hear about your Christmas and paying off the mortgage! What a great feeling! And it really sounds as though the reduced working hours are suiting you. :)

Fantastic news about your mortgage OBL!  You must feel so chuffed!
So pleased to hear too how much you enjoy having dropped a day at work. A friend who still works at my old firm always did a three day week but has dropped one day now as she approaches retirement. She says how much more enjoys her working week now.
Re your horse, I sort of get how you feel. I used to enjoy riding when I could and it was always in the back of my mind to take it up again when I retired and go on actual riding holidays.  But now that I have retired I find that having a dodgy knee puts me off of riding for any length of time. Plus my weight on the poor beast!  I should have did this all sooner!☹️

Back to reality and work today . I was very lucky this morning as I decided to walk down to the station to get my bus and I just got on the bus and it absolutely chucked it down . I do like sitting on the bus listening to the rain 😀

I was on an early so finished at 15.30 but I still don't get home until 16.45 because of the bus. I walked into town then got a bus because I need to increase my exercise, it's been sadly lacking lately.

I ran the hoover round when I got home . I am trying to stick to a routine of doing bits each day so I don't end up up with a big cleaning job on my days off. I didn't have a proper meal for my tea tonight because I didn't feel like anything. I am feeling very unhealthy diet wise after Christmas and new year. We didn't eat too much over Christmas because we didn't feel like it but I have made up for it since. I now just want a salad and some fruit 😂 I think I need a mini detox or something. I am going to go food shopping and buy some healthy choices and also restart my Nutracheck membership, it's a calorie counting and I did well on it last time I used it. I need to shift the weight I've put  on since I've been on these steroids 😟I'm not sure how it will go though because I'm constantly hungry.

Poor DD2 messaged me today to say she has to take the day off because she has a stomach bug she had only been back for one day. I keep telling her she needs to take time off properly to recover so I'm hoping she listens now. She has been ill since September with a chest infection then a cold virus followed by covid and now a stomach bug. They have Noro virus on her ward so it's probably that 🤢🤢

I'm off tomorrow so will be meeting a friend for coffee then I might do a bit of my bedroom when I get home
