We got our first kitchen from MFI….the cheapest range. Oh I thought I was so posh 😂😂😂 A neighbour more or less scoffed but we had the last laugh because it outlived her designer shop one 👍. It was only ripped out because we had an extension to the kitchen it still had a few years left in it

The kitchen before the one we’ve got now was from MFI. Couldn’t fault them, the fitter was brilliant. Our current one is Howdens who are also brilliant.

  • Today I have scrubbed the spare room to within an inch of its life and can now paint it. I've got paint to do it so it won't cost me anything either 🎉🎉  the only casualty was the bookcase which collapsed when I moved it. It was a really old one from MFI ( anyone remember them) and it's kept going for about 25 years so I've had my money's worth. That has spurred me on to decide to get rid of all the books that were in it. I haven't touched them for over a year and they are just something else to dust so they are going to the charity shop. I want the rooms I don't use to be as empty as possible so that they are easy to keep clean and I won't have to pack them up when I eventually move.
My Mum, many, many years ago bought a setee from there. She told everyone she had gota new couch from MI5 !!!!

Well my bookcase was really old and had survived 3 house moves and countless moves around different houses so their stuff did last. I've actually got a wardrobe and dressing table we got from their as well. They were both bought for one of the kids when they were little so must be 30 ish years old 🙀

Hi everyone hope you are all ok. I've had a busy week taking things to the charity and doing odd jobs around the house. The spare room is almost finished I've just got to finish the skirting boards. There's no flooring in that room so I will need to do that at some point.

Me and B got to the beach and it was a lovely day. I had chips and she had a sausage so was very happy. It was so lovely to see her running round in circles when we got onto the sand. I am going again tomorrow with DD2 because she is on holiday this week and the weather is supposed to be ok 🤞

Last Saturday me and DD2 went to the zoo but we were only there for an hour and a half because the rain was so bad it was flooding so they had to ask people to leave. We got absolutely soaked and wished we hadn't bothered.

I haven't done as much in the house as I wanted to because I've been in too much pain. I had more blood tests and they have put my steroids back up to 6mgs for four weeks then I have another appointment to see how it's going. Of that isn't working they are looking again in case there is something else going on. I've also had to re start the dreaded iron tablets for anaemia again on a 3 month trial to see if it improves things. I've been anaemic for years but they can't figure out why 🤷‍♀️

I should receive my pension payout this week so will be able to pay my mortgage off when it turns up. The woman at work said it would be from the day after my end employment date which was the 2nd of November but it hasn't been paid in yet. I'm just hoping it goes in before the 27th or I won't have enough money to pay my bills 🙀
