My journey to a debt free life

Finally got to the end of the week and now have two days off thank god
I went to bed last night and was feeling a bit sick for some reason but I slept like a log,in fact I slept so well I slept through my alarm and DD came and woke me up,miraculously I still managed to get out the door at the same time by rushing round like a lunatic to get ready
I still felt queasy and have been like it all day,DD text me this afternoon to say she was feeling queasy too,I wondering if what DD 1 had on Tuesday was a bit of a tummy bug mixed in with morning sickness,it seems a strange coincidence that I now feel sick too,I've just been eating rich tea biscuits all day
Work was ok today mainly because I was in clinic all day and finished at 3.30,getting home was a bit of a trial because I had to stop in town for some washing up liquid that I forgot yesterday and as I was walking to my bus stop two of my buses went past,so I had a bit of a wait for the next one,it was packed out in town with Christmas shoppers
It was also raining fairly steadily so I got a bit wet too,I came home and took the dog out and just got back in the door and it absolutely chucked it down and has been all evening.
I'm just glad that I don't have to go anywhere for the next two days if I don't want to
Please don't all shout at me but I'm actually putting my Xmas decorations up this weekend,I always put them up on the first weekend of December but that is next weekend and I am busy then and for the following two as well and after that it's too late so it has to be this week,I'm sort of glad we are doing it really because it's another job I can tick off my list so I can try and have a chilled out December
I hope everyone has a good weekendOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -

I don't enjoy doing it but I love it once they are up,my living room looks so cosy when the tree is up,I also have paper chains on the walls and I've got lots of Xmas ornaments this I dot around,I've actually got loads of decorations and don't usually use them all because I get fed up putting them up,but this year because I'm doing them now I don't feel so rushe so I'm going to properly decorate the hall out by the kitchen this year too,I have a small front porch type hall and I've also put a few bits out there this yearOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -

I was going to do mine on the following weekend but then realised I probably won't have time so today it was,I don't think I've got a full on tummy bug, everyone has had this weird thing where you feel sick for several days but it doesn't actually come to anything,DD felt ok today so I'm hoping I will start to feel ok tomorrow,I still feel slightly queasy today but not as bad as yesterdayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I must be ill I got up at 8.30 today.....on my day off...... it was good though as we have had a busy day, breakfast was had and while DD took the dog for a long walk I did the dishes and tidied the kitchen, I also managed to clean the chickens out before she got back, then it was into the loft to get the Xmas decorations down
We have paper chains around our walls but they require sticking together so we put some Xmas music on and made them first, we dotted around all my Xmas ornaments but then DD had to go out to a baby shower so while she has been gone I have assembled the tree
I have a yearly battle with our Xmas tree as they never seem to stand up straight, the stands are never quite right, last year I got fed up and bought a new 7ft snow covered tree from Wilkoos it should have been £100 but I got it half price and seeing as I hadnt had my LBM I didn't think twice about buying it so I now own three Xmas trees of various sizes, this tree however goes up a treat so I don't regret buying it at all
We have a tradition of doing the tree together and we like to have some sort of sparkly alcohol to drink while we do it,we find that everything looks more straight and even if we have a glass of three of something sparkly while we do it,DD is buying something on her way home so I'm waiting to decorate the tree until she gets back, she might also be bringing cakes back because the baby shower she has gone to is afternoon tea,it's at a place we have been to before and you gets quite a lot to eat,she is on a diet so doesn't want to eat too much,I'm hoping she doesn't change her mind because I quite fancy some cake:D
I'm off to take the dog out in a minute then I'm in for the night,I was waiting for it to stop raining but I think I'm in for a long wait as it's chucking it down:(Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
My sister has decided to put her tree up today too. That's a nice family tradition that you have all putting it up.
Fingers crossed you get cake as well. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Your tree sounds lovely. Enjoy your decorating with alcohol
.
Our Xmas tree is a six foot £14 Mr T bargain we bought AFTER my lightbulb moment :money:. Before the lightbulb moment we used to spend £50 every year buying a real tree from the garden centre . It was a nice tradition though as went to choose one all together, then let the kids decorate it, then redecorated it once the kids were in bed as it looked like the decorations had been thrown at the tree :rotfl:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
