  • You've been so sensible saving up a Christmas fund, it must feel lovely to be stress free at this time of year :).

It is nice Hairy,it's taken a lot of the pressure I usually feel at this time of the year off my shoulders and I'm looking forward to January next year whereas I normally dread it because I know I've spent too much, I don't have a lot left to buy now so should be finished before my week off that begins on December the 15th
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,120

  • Another busy day at work today but it flew by,I was actually ill today and didn't think I was going to make it through the shift but I kept telling myself to wait an hour and then see how I felt and by lunch time I was feeling a lot better,I don't think there was anywhere on my body that wasn't hurting this morning,I have also had pain in my face for the last couple of days,it's now spread to both sides and it's really annoying,I'd love to know what actually triggers it off
Anyway I made it through the day and I'm home now catching up on here before going to bed
I haven't got DGS tomorrow now because he is poorly AGAIN poor little man has had one thing after another,DD 1 is also poorly with a cold so she is off tomorrow and has invited me round for a cup of tea,so I'm going there instead of DGS coming here, she lives in a town that's about a half an hour bus ride away from where I am, it will make a nice change to go there and I will now get to have a lie in for two whole hours
I'm going into town first though because DD2 has asked me to return some shoes she bought that she doesn't want and I want to get a bit more Xmas shopping,I've worked it out that if I'm proactive I could get my present shopping finished this week, how lovely would that be

I'm off to bed shortly because I am tired and I can feel my legs starting to throb again,so more painkillers will be needed tonight I think :(

  • There's nothing better than finishing your Christmas shopping off. I am guilty of doing what you do though and wrapping, thinking it isn't enough, and then buying more.

how are you feeling today? There are lots of colds going round and other nasties too. xx

  • Sorry you feel in pain. You did well to finish your shift. I hope it's a bit better today. Does the cold weather make it worse?

I've only bought one Christmas present so far and that's three bottles of craft beer for DS2. You're doing really well to be so ahead :T.

I used to do that with Christmas and birthdays, it doesn't help the budget at all :o.

  • Hope the tablets turned the volume down on the throbbing and you got some sleep. The cold weather really doesn't help us.

The cold weather doesn't help matters Hairy,I can't let myself get cold because I just can't get warm again for hours so that's why my heating needs to be working,I really panic if I can't use the heating for any reason,my boiler broke several years ago an I didn't have any heating for the whole of January,I was so ill that month and in constant pain so now I'm paranoid about keeping warm
