I think it's a sign of our success as parents when offspring can manage without us. (How dare they?Onebrokelady said:I think DD will be ok she is mainly missing the pets ( not me 😀😀)
) Perhaps give her a pet rock (remember those?)
Coffee with your friend sounds nice, and your decorating is coming on well. Perhaps start with the palest possible shade so you can go over it easily if you want to.
The problem Im having with the greys I've picked so far is that in my room they look blue and I don't want blue. I think it's because it's a north facing room and that's how the light affects the paint colour. I will keep lookingOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

Nice shift at work today. I was on my own because there were only 6 patients in the morning. It was lovely and I managed to send some emails to sort out some problems with my shifts. I took AL and left at 2pm so was able to go into town and get the polyfilla and some wall skim which is like a runny polyfilla that makes the wall nice and smooth. I did the filling this afternoon and will hopefully have time to do the skim tomorrow. DD2 is coming over but I'm not sure what time.
I also hoovered and washed all the floors downstairs, hoovered upstairs and gave the bathroom a good clean so I won't have to do much housework over the weekend.
We are going to Ikea on Sunday to pick out some dining chairs to go with DDs table and she wants to order a wardrobe. I will probably treat myself to some plant balls for my freezer 😀

Enjoy the trip to IKEA. We ended up going into one on our way home from holiday for a break in the traffic jam…..we ended up being in there 2 hours 🤪 I loved a rhubarb and custard cake that I’ve never seen in the cafe before.January spends - £587.582

DD 2 stayed over last night so we ordered pizza and watched Sweet tooth on Netflix. It was a lovely chilled evening
Today we got up at 8.30 because we had to go into town because DD needed to buy another clothes horse. We walked into town and got one in Wilkos 🎉 then we got the train to her flat to drop it off . We caught the bus out to Ikea because you can catch it just up the road from were she lives. She found a wardrobe and some dining chairs she likes so ordered them to be delivered on Wednesday.
I got home and took B out then had reheated left over pizza for my tea followed by a nice hot shower and pjs. I'm off to bed now because I've got work tomorrowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -

Back to work today which was ok but I didn't feel too good. I've got a sore throat and headache and felt a bit shivery. I did a Covid test and it was negative so I think it's just another virus doing the rounds 🙄
Im off for two days now so will hopefully feel better by the time I have to go back. I have to go into town tomorrow for shopping and to take my phone back to the place I bought it. It has stopped charging properly for some reason. Luckily it has a 24 month warranty and I only got it in January. It's been ok so far until today. I'm a bit worried it got wet in my bag when I walked home the other day. My bag isn't water proof and was wet when I got in but none of the stuff inside was wet so I'm hoping it's ok 🤞
I might strip some more paper tomorrow if I'm feeling ok . It's nearly all gone and I've filled any holes in the walls I've finished so can paint them as soon as I make my mind up on the colour.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940
