My journey to a debt free life

A sideways discussion about how you are considering changing your bank account/details may be a thing. It could just be that one of them has changed their account in some way which has stopped the payment going through. A conversation with no need to reference the garage may clear the whole matter up without anyone being upset. This is of course dependant on the possibility of a casual conversation.

It sounds as if your done a good job cleaning the furniture 👍
A bit awkward re the garage….if the next payment doesn’t arrive a quiet word would definitely be in order. If he doesn’t want it you can get somebody who does.January spends - £587.580 -
Had an upsetting day today. I went to see my Mum and she phoned Dad while I was there and he sounded awful. He was stuttering and couldn't get his words out. He was crying and sounded so distressed. He doesn't understand why no ones been to see him and can't remember anyone telling him that we weren't allowed. I explained to him again today but I know he won't remember. My sister is coming down on Thursday and is going to pick him up to take him home. It was heartbreaking talking to him 😢😢
I am making a complaint via the PALS service when I go to work tomorrow because sending him there was clearly against his best interests and I told them he wouldn't understand that we couldn't visit. The person I spoke to said he was happy to go there but I told her he didn't have the mental capacity to understand what that would mean but she didn't care. If this has made him worse and he doesn't recover there will be hell to pay 😡

That's awful OBL. I think you're right to complain, you know him a lot better than they do. The one small positive I can see is that he may not remember all this.

Busy day today at work but it was a good shift . DD got the keys to her flat so she met me from work and we went to have a look at it. The kitchen cupboards need cleaning and the oven so we are going to try and go over there tomorrow. It all looks so much bigger now it's empty and just as lovely as I remembered.
Dad phoned my mobile while I was making my way to the train station and he sounded more like himself but he had phoned me to tell me he loved me and to say goodbye because he thinks he isn't going to see any of us again . I told him he is supposed to be going home tomorrow and that I would see him soon.
I then got a call from one of the doctors that is treating him and he told me that dad was given some morphine yesterday which might account for the confusion. He also told me they are working on dads mobility to get him walking a bit better. I then mentioned that my mum told me he is coming home tomorrow and this doctor didn't know anything about that 🤷♀️He said nothing had been mentioned in the morning board round. I told him that my mum doesn't know how to use the oxygen that has been put in at the house or even why it's been put so he is going to bring that up tomorrow morning
Mum messaged me last night to tell me that my sister had called her to let her know she had spoken to the hospital and she was coming down today staying in the town where dad is and was bringing him home tomorrow. The hospital know nothing about this so I haven't got a clue what is going on.
My sister won't speak to me to let me know anything so I have decided to wash my hands of the whole thing and let her deal with it. I no longer want to know what they are doing because they are not making any sense. I will go to my mums when my dad goes home to see my dad and that's all I'm going to be doing from now on. I'm sick of people not letting me know what's happening and then telling me the wrong thing. She wants to be in charge so she can be in charge.
So tomorrow will be a busy day moving DD out. She still has bits to pack so I'm going to help her do that in the morning. I'm concentrating on my family now and everyone else can b**ger offOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
Is this the same sister whose son rents your garage OBL? Presumably you live nearer your parents so why wouldn't she communicate with you to tell you whats happening. You can do without stuff like that but I can see why it is awkward re the garage rent if it is a strained relationship.

I think quite a lot of this could be explained by your Mum's confusion, though your sister's attitude doesn't help. At least the hospital is keeping you informed and it sounds as though you'll be able to see your Dad soon.
The new flat is exciting! One of my children is in the process of buying a flat too and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. You are going to enjoy having your own space at home, but I expect you'll be popping in to see her from time to time as well.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
