The past 2.5 years have been a nightmare! It's been one thing after another. I'm sure things will get better at some stage and your DD will eventually have her own place but that's no consolation right now.

My dog is 10 and a lot slower nowadays although she can still run like the clappers after her ball on the park. I sometimes wonder if she puts it on when she's walking anywhere else.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

  • Managed work today by the skin of my teeth, I was having trouble walking when I arrived and bumped into one of the doctors I work with, she was shocked I had turned up for work and told me to go home, I said I would see how the morning went because sometimes I get better as the day goes on. I did improve slightly and stayed because I was able to sit down a lot but I can't keep this up for much longer. I haven't had any results back yet so still don't know what's going on🤷‍♀️

DD1 messaged me earlier to see what type of mortgage I've got, I am on the variable rate so the interest affects me every time it changes 😟 she told me to see if I can get a fix but I'm not sure I would get one now. I don't have loads left to pay ( under £10,000) so less than my actual debt. I am going to have a proper look tomorrow at some point.

DD1 is on a fixed deal but it ends in August 23 which is possibly the worst time so she is speaking to her broker tomorrow to see how much they would have to pay to get out of it early and do another fixed deal, she says they can afford a small increase but it will be tight. My son in law is also self employed as a garden designer who also does garden maintenance but I can see people will not be able to pay for things like their garden being done so there is a big chance he will lose work which is worrying. It's all such a mess at the moment 😟

I have now got two days off thankfully. I'm going to see my Mum and Dad tomorrow,I was supposed to be having my hair cut but my niece who cuts it has got Covid so can't do it now,I will look like a yetty soon 😀 I am taking B with me so she doesn't have to spend the day on her own but Mum has asked me to buy a birthday card on my way there so I will be testing out John Lewis's dog friendly policy and having a look in there to see if they have any, if not there is a card shop across the road so I will have to see if they will let me in with a dog.

That sounds like a difficult day at work, OBL. Hope today is better. It's definitely a worrying time for folk with mortgages.

It was and hasn't got better,I woke up this morning and couldn't move my head. I don't know what I've done but it's painful. It's moveable now so long as I don't move it too fast 😟

I didn't go to my mum and dads today due to feeling carp and being in a lot of pain. I must have slept funny because I woke up with a very painful and stiff neck this morning which is also effecting my shoulders . I am going to to see them on Monday instead and luckily my mum doesn't need the birthday card urgently so I was able to stay at home.
It's been chucking it down all day so I'm glad I didn't go anywhere now.

I have my budget folder out to sort out my finances so will look at that in a minute and I need to go out and do a meter reading but I'm waiting for a break in the rain,I will have to do it soon or it will be too dark to see.

I am currently snuggled on the sofa with the cats and B all piled up with me 😍😍

  • Gorgeous pic!

I have a smart meter this time so don't have to try and get a meter reading in. But I am going to be using the tumble dryer later to get the washing mountain under control, before the rate rise tomorrow!
