  • I just get the heavy stuff delivered. I like to see fresh stuff before I buy it.
Me too, we try it every so often but it's never fresh enough for me

  • Good to hear of what sounds like a thorough and progressive appointment. Well done on finding the book, too!
I'm hoping I get some answers now and maybe some help with pain relief at least. The book was a good find

  • Great news you’re finally getting somewhere, hopefully they’ll be able to sort you out with some treatment that works 🤞

We’re setting up a book swap at work. I don’t think I’ve read any of Hilary Mantel’s books but a sad loss all the same.
That's a good idea,we had one at work but it was stopped when Covid happened and we weren't allowed to take books into the hospital 😟 I have read a few pages of me of Hilary Mantels books and it was so well written but I'm not sure if i could concentrate for lng enough to read it,My DD1 has just read Wolf Hall and said it was brilliant so I might give it a go if I can concentrate for long enough.

  • I've had a slow relaxing day today. B got me up twice in the night last night so I was a bit tired this morning. I spent most of the day doing my knitting and also listened to a podcast for a couple of hours.
We took B out for her evening walk and ended up at the chip shop buying chips which we ate sitting on a bench on the river, it was a bit naughty but they smelled sooooo good we couldn't resist 😂😍😂 they were very tasty too.

We were going to go to Okehampton tomorrow but have changed our minds now so we are going for a walk along the river to the Quay, there is a lovely coffee shop that sells doggy ice cream and poor B didn't get to have one all summer. We normally walk to the Quay a few times over the summer but we didn't go once this year which is a bit sad now summers over. We are excited to realise that in a weeks time B will be allowed back on the beach so we can take her back down there now. I can't believe it's October in a weeks time 😳

I also had a mince pie today 😂

  • We went for a lovely walk today to the Quay and back. We stopped off at a dog friendly cafe so we could sit inside because although it was a lovely sunny warm day there was a brisk breeze down on the river. I had a piece of apple cake 😍😍 DD2 had a croissant and B had an ice cream which she loved, it kept her busy under the table for ages 😂

We went for a stroll past all the craft shops just to check on who is still trading, there have been a few changes but the replacements look good. I didn't go in anywhere because I didn't want to be tempted to spend any money .

We then walked home again and I spent a couple of hours chilling out before sorting out the chickens and getting things ready for work tomorrow

I had a sausage sandwich for my tea and a mince pie 😊 and I have the other two sausages in a sandwich for my lunch tomorrow 😍😍

DD2 is feeling a bit depressed about life at the moment but she said the walk today did her good. She desperately wants to buy somewhere to live but can't decide if now is a good time considering the state of the economy, the high likelihood of the housing market crashing and interest rates going up, she saw a nice flat today but isn't sure about going for it 🤷‍♀️
