My journey to a debt free life

Sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling great. My friend works full time and has fibromyalgia, she has recently went for a pip assessment as she is struggling with the pain and lack of sleep and trying to hold down a full time job. I will let you know if she qualifies although everyones capability is so different. Might be worth applying. From what I read on the DMP page a lot of people do self managed and they say it’s not as scary as you think.Take care3

I’m sorry to hear about you being in pain. Good decision to cut your hours if they’re too much for you right now.Other things sounding positive with the emergency fund and getting on with the decorating.
And it’s always good to hear from you 🤗I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I hope work was ok and you have a relaxing evening.
I have been in debt and agree that having one debt cleared would give you a psychological boost and impetus to keep going.
I am making a HF meal tonight with my own ingredients

Slow and steady will get there with the DPM and the house jobs - something I say to myself a lot as I try to balance debt repayments with essential house maintenance/ upkeep. Have a restful and peaceful weekend.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202

Im actually feeling cautiously excited ( if that's even possible ) about self managing my debt, Im very grateful to SC as they literally saved my life,I was in such a mess but now I think I might be able to manage it on my own. I'm leaving it as it is while DD is still here and paying off the same amount then in the meantime I will get all my info together and investigate how to do it properlyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -

Today was a good but slightly crazy day at work, I did so many blood tests I lost count in the end. I was working with one of my younger colleagues who started off as an apprentice, she is so nice and thoughtful and also really on the ball so everything went smoothly. We also had some really cute, sweet and funny children through our clinics today and that makes such a difference to the day 😊
Things went downhill when I left and had to wait an hour for a bus home,my DD was also waiting for the bus so we stopped off at the chip shop on the way home and bought ourselves chips. I also bought a sausage for B to make up for being so late, honestly leaving work at 5 and not getting home until 7 is getting beyond a joke now 😡
My boss came and told me my new hours will start on April1st ( I hope I'm not going to be an April's fool for doing this 😟) so I will have a couple of long days to do in between now and then but that will add some money to the emergency fund.
I just have Sunday to work this week and then I'm on holiday 🎉🎉 Im doing a late on Sunday so can have a lie in.
Its DD2s birthday tomorrow I bought her some earrings which haven't arrived yet 😟but also a couple of books just in case so she will have something to unwrap, she is going out with friends tomorrow night and we are going to do something together in the week.
Im off to bed shortly because I am shattered and my hands are hurting so typing is probably not a good idea. I'm also hoping to catch up on all the dairies I like to read over the weekend
Take care everyone and have a lovely weekend xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
Enjoy your weekend, @Onebrokelady. You're doing well with rebuilding your emergency fund - it's so annoying when we are forced to use them, but much better to have one. Hope your new hours will work well for you. Yes, you'll miss the money, but no point making your health worse.
Take care now,

If your body is telling you enough the nuts best. Glad your EF fund is getting back up.If you do take your debts back over, it would certainly give you control to over pay and pay things off. Researching it like you are will at least give you a balanced view. Either way, your debt is still being paid xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0
