I like the idea of 3 task list. I find lists usually put me right off as I’m the worse for what my dh calls butterflying and flitting from one job to another - having half a dozen things on the go and not finishing anything. I realised this when I was showing my craft projects to a friend yesterday…..mmmmm…….need to finish some before I start anything else.
I’m pleased yesterday was a good day. I’m sure the flooring will give you a great boost. Hope they can fit it when you want it doing 🤞

I've just seen I cross posted with you yesterday - well done on the sander, and the painting! It will look so good when it's all fresh and new.

Do listen to your body - when you're tired it means the next thing on the list should be tomorrow's job (unless the next thing on the list is 'wind down and get some sleep' of course). :)

Foxgloves - I like the idea of a 3 Job list. I often write a list that’s 20 deep and get quite discouraged when I only get through 10 ( on a good day!).

I'm glad you are getting support and have had a better day. Here's to an increase in current meds working wonders.

Did the sander work? You seem to have a knack for these things but of course that could be applied intelligence. :)

One job at a time is what I need to do too. I've been madly cleaning for a visitor and while I've achieved what I set out to, I find it hard to stay focussed and flit from one thing to another, and of course I've ended up tired. I do find there's psychological value in having even a small area looking just as I like.
Thanks Cherry 😊the sander worked for what I needed it for that day but then broke again so it looks like I might have to get a new one. I will wait and see how much I need to use it before I replace it though. I also get distracted and flit from one job to another 🙄

I think when there is loads to do (as well as not feeling great), things can seem a bit overwhelming. Something that helps me on these occasions is to identify the 3 tasks which most need doing. Write them on a piece of paper & select one of them to do. When it has been done, cross it off. You may now add another task..... & so on. This means that the list never has more than 3 tasks on it so feels instantly more achievable. This technique also makes me prioritise more effectively. For instance I might be fretting about the house looking a mess but that is something that could wait another day, whereas sonething like 'Wrap X' s birthday gifts' could have a posting deadline so is a higher priority job. For me, in this situation, veggie garden jobs often win out over other tasks as watering & feeding can't be put off for long if I want maximum food crops, etc. I find that the 3-things list is quite stress-reducing - probably because it requires such a degree of prioritisation that I know I am concentrating on the right tasks during a difficult period.
Hope this makes sense..... am absolutely buzzing with coffee!

Thanks Foxgloves I like this idea so I'll give it a try 😊

Yep I'm like this too and also have a few unfinished craft projects on the go. I'm not doing anything crafty at the moment due to lack of time after decorating and no energy

Hi, I'm just bumbling along at the moment, not feeling great today but that's because of increased pain. I had plans for today but they won't be happening now because I'm too tired. I'm working tomorrow then have three days off so hopefully will get something done then 🤞

Hi everyone and thanks for your comments, they are all really helpful 😊
I've had a busy few days with work and life in general and I'm just plodding along. Yesterday was my long day so work was the only thing that happened,I was so tired I didn't wake up until 12 today 🙀so far I've done some washing and walked B through the fields.
I had plans to wash the doors down but I'm too tired and the priority today is to clean the kitchen so that's what I'm doing in a minute, I will also hoover as well because if I leave it a day the pet hair will take over 🙀it's a miserable day here today as well so the washing won't be going on the line. I'm going to let the 🐓🐓out but I'm not sure they will want to come out in this rain. I hope the sun is going to reappear soon,I'm sure I'm solar powered
