Thank you for the well wishes everyone 😍😍I've managed to have a phone appointment with my GP and she has advised I increase the dose on my current meds for a while to see if that helps, if not  then we will look at changing to something else, I don't really want to change because it takes a while to get used to new meds and things might get worse before they get better

I had a good chat with one of my bosses yesterday and she was very supportive, she asked if they could do anything to help at work but I said no because although my job is sometimes stressful and upsettingI actually feel ok when I'm at work most of the time, I know I'm feeling really bad if I don't want to even go into work but yesterday was a good day.

Today my niece came round and cut my hair so it's nice and tidy again now, we had a nice chat too. I think I need to keep myself busy so I haven't got too much time to think about things, the house is really getting me down but it's within my control to do something about that so today I have done the final coats of paint on the living room walls. I can now start on the woodwork then this room will be done apart from new floors. I think I have fixed my sander, I won't know until I try it out in a minute but hopefully it will work.
I just look at everything that needs doing and get overwhelmed but if I take it one job at a time it will get done 😊

Look at it as part jobs if a whole job is too much to contemplate. You are doing amazingly well with the health issues you have to contend with. Hope upping the meds work for you 🤞

Thanks Milann, I tend to go to bed and my mind runs away with all the things I need to do then I get overwhelmed,I did write a list of jobs so I could tick them off but I've lost it somewhere 🙄 I think I'm going to do a daily list of jobs that I would like to get done just to keep my focus because I also end up starting one thing then get distracted and end up doing something else, any jobs not done on a particular day will be rolled over to the next one 😊

I'm calling today a good day. The sun was shining so I got two loads of washing done and dried. The chickens were cleaned out and had a nice day in the garden and I took B for a good walk through the fields
After lunch I did the final coats of paint on the last two walls in my living room and have been able to hang the pictures back up. I did mend my sander and managed to sand the bits I needed to before it broke again. I've painted one skirting board and round one door frame, the doors need washing so that's my next job then they can be painted along with the rest of the skirting and the living room will be finished. Then I can start on the hall which won't take as long because it's a lot smaller. I'm going to phone the flooring company on Friday to see about arranging for them to come and measure and show me some samples then I'm hoping I can arrange to have them done when I'm on holiday in July,it depends how busy they are
I'm just off to make my packed lunch then it will be bedtime because I am shattered 💤

I'm glad you are getting support and have had a better day. Here's to an increase in current meds working wonders.

Did the sander work? You seem to have a knack for these things but of course that could be applied intelligence. :)

One job at a time is what I need to do too. I've been madly cleaning for a visitor and while I've achieved what I set out to, I find it hard to stay focussed and flit from one thing to another, and of course I've ended up tired. I do find there's psychological value in having even a small area looking just as I like.

I think when there is loads to do (as well as not feeling great), things can seem a bit overwhelming. Something that helps me on these occasions is to identify the 3 tasks which most need doing. Write them on a piece of paper & select one of them to do. When it has been done, cross it off. You may now add another task..... & so on. This means that the list never has more than 3 tasks on it so feels instantly more achievable. This technique also makes me prioritise more effectively. For instance I might be fretting about the house looking a mess but that is something that could wait another day, whereas sonething like 'Wrap X' s birthday gifts' could have a posting deadline so is a higher priority job. For me, in this situation, veggie garden jobs often win out over other tasks as watering & feeding can't be put off for long if I want maximum food crops, etc. I find that the 3-things list is quite stress-reducing - probably because it requires such a degree of prioritisation that I know I am concentrating on the right tasks during a difficult period.
Hope this makes sense..... am absolutely buzzing with coffee!
