I survived my night shift 🎉🎉🎉 it was a nice shift actually and the time went by so quickly it was time to go home again before I realised. I didn't have a sleep break while at work because it always makes me feel sick for some reason. I still had a long break but I read my book instead 😀. It was busy though so that's probably why it went by so fast.
I briefly saw DD in the morning as she was on the bus behind the one I was catching to go home so we managed to wave to each other 😀I came home had a shower and fell into bed at 9 .30 but was awake again by 12 so I got up then and took B out for her walk.
Ive had a busy day doing things in the house so all the washing apart from the bedding is done,I hoovered everywhere and dusted downstairs and I was going to do the ironing but thought that might be a step too far 😂I might do that tomorrow if I can talk myself into it
DD came home so we had tea and then took B for another walk, my legs started to throb when we got back so I think I've pushed my limits today

well done on the weight loss 🎉. I think your new weight loss measures will work because it's small changes to your lifestyle rather than a punitive diet you can't keep up. Extra walking always makes a difference as does decreasing portion sizes. When I go to eat something I try to ask myself why. Am I actually hungry (as in is my tummy empty), or am I bored, stressed, sad or just eating out of habit? One thing I noticed when I lost weight was how much more comfortable it was to sit, lie, get up, cross my legs, etc. It's not just vanity, it has health benefits and makes you feel more comfortable generally.

It's good that the new mattress is helping you. They can make a massive difference as I always used to wake up with a backache until we had a new mattress and now I never do.

What a relief it was only a power cut. DS1 thought his tablet was broken as it wouldn't charge but then then he tried my charger and realised that it was the charger that was broken and not his tablet 😂 .
That's what I'm hoping for Hairy. I was going to walk into town to get my bus home this morning but it was absolutely chucking it down so I got the bus instead. I have been out for two 40 minute walks with B though 😊
Good news it was just the charger and not your sons iPad that was broken 😊

I hope you manage a sleep before your night shift , I can't sleep in the day it gives me a headache .
I got a new mattress 12 months ago and although my sleep isn't fantastic, it is definitely better since the new mattress arrived .
Can you go horse riding now ? One of my colleagues has two horses and I know she benefits from her riding , mentally and physically.
Glad to hear the electrics are ok.
I can sleep in the day at the drop of a hat normally, it's at night that I struggle trying to sleep, all the staff had a two hour sleep break last night but I just worked through because I was wide awake all night
I can go riding now but I haven't been yet because I haven't felt well enough to go. My hip is giving me lots of problems which normally resolve themselves after a while but it has dragged on this time. I was actually thinking about booking to go in the next couple of weeks to test my leg out and see how I get on. Riding definitely helps my mental health and I've missed it a lot

Phew to it being a power cut and not all your electrical appliances. Think there’s something in the air this week about electrical things breaking down. My washer was playing up and ds fridge is waiting repair.
Hope you have a peaceful night in work. I really couldn’t work nights 😲 hats off to you 👏

I couldn't do them regularly but the odd one is ok. I hate getting up early to go to work because I'm not a morning person so going in at night seems better to me, it's nice and relaxed most of the patents are hopefully asleep so it's not as crazy as the day shift, we were fairly busy last night but it went by really quickly
I hope you've got your washer sorted now 😊

I couldn’t work nights either 🙁 On a separate note, there are some brilliant podcasts at the moment, I love listening to them on my morning run/walk.
I love a good podcast, I listen to them on the way to and from work or whenever I'm walking anywhere 😊

You can listen to them on Spotify if you have it or iTunes,I have an iPhone and use an app called The podcast app, you simply download the app onto your phone then search for subjects you're interested in and it will give you a selection to listen to, you can add them to your favourites so you don't miss an episode then you just tune in each week
My shift went well thanks 😊

I think I'm nocturnal 😀I'm much more energetic at night than I am in the day, I struggle most days with tiredness but find working at night much easier. I also love going home when everyone one else is heading into work 😀

The BBC Sounds app has some brilliant playlists, lots of podcasts and even some audio books. I’m definitely a morning person, up with the lark but dead on my feet by 9pm.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
