Sorry to hear you are not feeling too well today, OBL. Hope you are having something nutritious to eat tonight, that you get a good night's sleep & will feel better in the morning.

  • I heard about that bomb on the news😱 Really scary to think they could be anywhere lurking 😱

Sorry to hear you didn’t feel great earlier, I hope by now you’ve had a relaxing day and feel a little better.
It was quite a spectacular explosion that's for sure. I've had a mostly relaxed day today but  still don't feel too good, I keep sneezing so I'm either getting a cold or it's an allergic reaction to something 🤷‍♀️

Sadly not having anything nutritious to eat tonight because I'm too tired to cook so it was a Garlic Mushroom Quorn Escalope with home made oven chips for tea. I'm making cottage pie for tomorrow and will have that with lots of  lovely veg, I have eaten two plums a banana and an orange today as well

The highlight of today was pegging my washing out and finding out it had dried when I brought it in 😀I've put some towels out and left them out seeing as there is no rain forecast. I also got it ironed as well 🎉🎉 I stripped my bed today so I have lovely clean sheets to get into later.

DD enjoyed her walk with her colleague who sounds like she might become a good friend,DD has loads of friends but not locally which is a shame 😟 B enjoyed it too and loved DD colleague 😀

I did go for my normal walk through the fields in the end but didn't take B because it would have been too much for her, DD came with me and we had a nice chat about her house buying hopes and how much she has saved, she is so good at budgeting ,I don't think I will ever have to worry about her getting into debt unless something calamitous were to happen, speaking of DDs and debt, I had a text from DD 1 this week to say she has paid off her credit card 🎉🎉I was so pleased for her as I was worried she was on a slippery slope, she is now working on clearing her overdraft so maybe has had a bit of a lightbulb moment 🤞she was always really good with money when she was at home but seemed to lose her way a bit when she got married but hopefully she will turn it around and won't get into then same kind of mess that I did

Tomorrow I have to go into town to pick up another prescription and to buy DDs birthday card and possibly some wrapping paper, she requested some books from a series she is reading and also some bees wax sandwich wraps for her packed lunch. I got her a pack of three with a bees wax block to re wax them when they need doing. We haven't used clingfilm for over a year but she had resorted using foil recently which isn't that good either, the sandwich wraps are eco friendly and reusable so will also save money.

Another thing I realised today when I was pegging out my washing is that it must be a year since I got rid of my tumble dryer. I have managed to get through all that time without a dryer, I will never go back to one now, it's been easy because there are just the two of us so I imagine it will be even easier when DD does eventually move out. I have to say winter wasn't the most challenging time to dry my washing surprisingly because it's quite often really windy , it was when we had spells of mild wet weather that caused more of a problem , summer was brilliant and I made good use of my washing line 😀

Forgot to add that today has been a NSD so 14 altogether for February 🎉🎉🎉Im Happy with that but aiming for more in March

We saw the bomb on the news and commented on how awful if must have been in the war when nowhere was evacuated and they were going off relentlessly 😲 Doesn’t bare thinking about if it’d decided to go off by itself 😲😳
You sound as if things are going well for you.
I’d been on codeine 15 years ago for quite a long time.....which is when my bowel perforated for the first time. I’m pretty sure the 2 could have been connected. I’d been on naproxen and omaprazole long term when it perforated this time. The surgeon has taken me off naproxen now so I don’t need the omaprazole. When I contacted the GP about pain relief everything she suggested messes with my stomach so she’s prescribed morphine patches. I haven’t actually taken them yet and am reluctant to do so as morphine makes me violently sick if I take it orally and gives me horrible hallucinations. I’m managing with paracetamol and pacing myself. I’ll use the patches if it becomes unbearable as she has also prescribed anti sickness just in case. I read all the literature of any tablets I take now. For a long time the GP hadn’t done medicine reviews but I’d had one at the chemist who seemed horrified. Since then I have had a prescription review and blood pressure and blood tests near my birthday. I’m wondering if the chemist gave the GPS a kick up the behind 🤔🤔

I agree about the bomb.  To do so much damage in a controlled explosion was bad enough, if it had just gone off without warning would be unthinkable.
Whenever my doctors have prescribed a temp additional medication they always seem to consult their computer first.  I always assumed that was to check for conflicts.  I've also noticed that for the last few years pharmacies have asked when I get one that they also ask if I am on something else.  I do know that I am very lucky to have reached my age & only need one medication & that doesn't have side effects unless you take too much (or too little).  I've been on it now for over 30 years, but at present I am on a funny dosage, 100 one day, 75 the next.  The pharmacy asks me regularly to check I know how to take it.  So yes I suspect the pharmacy did give the GP a heads up, thank goodness.

It could be hay fever, I am going to start taking my allergy tablets now, DD keeps sneezing as well but she gets hay fever more severely than I do, mines got less troublesome the older I've got 😀
