I’m wondering if you have a type of long Covid as you have been tired since.
What a lovely thing for your mum to do for you. That’ll be a real treat when you get your house done.
It’s good you’re having your X-ray whilst at work instead of having to make a separate journey.
I don't know, I feel like I'm getting better then seem to go back downhill again, my chest felt better a week ago but this week it's not so good again. I know tiredness is part of having Fibromyalgia so that probably doesn't help and I think the times of the year and not enough stimulation/ activity isn't helping. I've got myself into a bit of a rut of not doing much all day so need to crack on and start being more active. I've just made myself a cup of tea and did some squats while the kettle was boiling 😀

How lovely to get that money. Your mum sounds like she's really worried.
I also think you've got long Covid. Could it also be affecting your hormones? X
    September 2017 Debt = £25330

    Starting afresh.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x

It was a lovely surprise but I do wish she wouldn't do it . My mum is a worrier unfortunately  so there's not much that can be done about that, I've tried explaining until I'm blue in the face that I'm ok for money ( obviously she doesn't know about my debt mainly because she would try to pay it off for me and I don't want her to )
I think my health is just going to take extra time to recover, I had a bad year last year health wise which was topped off with that nasty chest infection followed straight away with covid which knocked me for 6, it's been nearly 5 months since I was infected and I'm thinking recovery will take longer because I wasn't too healthy to begin with. There is some research being doing about women who are menopausal getting covid more severely but I only half heard the topic so I'm not sure to what extent it's been looked at

Congrats on getting the debt below £14k and what a lovely gift from your mum. Sad that your Dad would not be happy she had given you money though. I am glad that DH and I are on the same page when it comes to gifting as doing it on the sly must be upsetting for your mum. Your girls really sound like they are good money managers so you should feel proud that you have imparted your budgeting skills to them as that will stand them in good stead for the future.

Sorry your health is not great at the moment.
My Dad would go mad if he found out she sometimes gives me money. I always remember the night my ex partner left I was in such a state my eldest DD phoned my mum and dad to come round because she was worried about me and the first words out of his mouth were "we can't help you with money " I have always been very independent and have never asked them for money, I've gone without food for myself rather than ask for money but instead of offering comfort his first thought was that I would be after money. I vowed then that I would live in a cardboard box before I would ask for help. That happened 21 years ago but it's the only thing I remember from that night 😟 he loaned my half sister  (his daughter but not my mums ) £500 once and she asked if she could miss a months payment so he charged her interest, he then accused her of not paying it back quick enough and hasn't spoken to her since that was 18 years ago, he cut her and her children out of his life when the kids sent him presents for birthdays and Christmas he sent them back unopened. That's the kind of person he is and we just have to put up with it 😟

I forgot today's exciting news....... I got my second covid vaccination 🎉🎉🎉 we got a phone call mid morning saying they had spare doses if anyone wanted to pop over to the place where they were doing them so I took the opportunity and got mine done. I am now officially fully vaccinated 😊 I did ask her if it was the Pfizer one and she said it had to be the same as the first one we had so that was ok. So many people who have had the Astra Zeneca jab have been ill and I don't want any more illness thank you  very much

Shame your Dad sounds like a real tightwad. Use the money your mum gave you for horse riding or a nice treat when you can. She is probably like me in that it gives her pleasure to make things a bit more comfortable for her daughter.

Maybe build up the exercise gradually again? I agree that often the more you do the easier it gets.

Good you now had both jabs. Interesting about AstraZeneca jab side effects. We had our first vaccination  this Tuesday and that was AstraZeneca. Only side effect so far after 48 hours is a stiff arm for me, tiredness yesterday for us both but DH was feeling very cold and shivery Tuesday evening. I was fine apart from the tiredness and a bit lethargic yesterday. Both back to normal now though and we said it is better than getting Covid.

I was poorly after the AZ vaccine but it only lasted a day thankfully. Mr SA was fine. I get my second jab in May and I’ve booked the following day off work just in case I feel rough again. Must be such a relief for you to be fully vaccinated after your ordeal with Covid.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
