What a lovely thing for your mum to do for you. That’ll be a real treat when you get your house done.
It’s good you’re having your X-ray whilst at work instead of having to make a separate journey.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
How lovely to get that money. Your mum sounds like she's really worried.
I also think you've got long Covid. Could it also be affecting your hormones? XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
Congrats on getting the debt below £14k and what a lovely gift from your mum. Sad that your Dad would not be happy she had given you money though. I am glad that DH and I are on the same page when it comes to gifting as doing it on the sly must be upsetting for your mum. Your girls really sound like they are good money managers so you should feel proud that you have imparted your budgeting skills to them as that will stand them in good stead for the future.

I think my health is just going to take extra time to recover, I had a bad year last year health wise which was topped off with that nasty chest infection followed straight away with covid which knocked me for 6, it's been nearly 5 months since I was infected and I'm thinking recovery will take longer because I wasn't too healthy to begin with. There is some research being doing about women who are menopausal getting covid more severely but I only half heard the topic so I'm not sure to what extent it's been looked atOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

Today was very busy at work but it was a good day with really nice patients and parents. I sorted out a small problem with some shifts and cancelled some AL that I booked by mistake, I've now got a night to do that week so that will be extra money for that month ( May) Our boss wants us to trial a fully automated roster system which is going to be a nightmare, so many of have flexible working plans and I can't see a computer taking all that into account, we have tried it before with a different system and it didn't work for our ward so we will just have to see what happens,I see trouble ahead 🙀
I made myself walk into town after work to get my bus instead of getting it from work. I had been doing this most of the time last year but after I got ill I couldn't do it but I know from experience that the more you do the more you want to do / can do. I noticed a definite up lift in my mood after doing a small amount of exercise while my kettle boiled so I thought walking from work would do the same and I was right 😊so I am going to increasing my efforts to get exercising throughout the day to see what happens, of course I have these mad ideas but will I stick to it 🤷♀️ Me and DD lasted a whole week without eating any chocolate, 🙄cakes and biscuits before we crumbled and gave in
Today didn't end up being a NSD because I had to order cat food, I was supposed to do it at the weekend but forgot so I'm hoping they don't run out before it arrives
I'm not going anywhere tomorrow apart from walking B so I am planning on doing something in my house, I'm not sure which job I'm going to start but I'm starting something if it's the last thing I do 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
I forgot today's exciting news....... I got my second covid vaccination 🎉🎉🎉 we got a phone call mid morning saying they had spare doses if anyone wanted to pop over to the place where they were doing them so I took the opportunity and got mine done. I am now officially fully vaccinated 😊 I did ask her if it was the Pfizer one and she said it had to be the same as the first one we had so that was ok. So many people who have had the Astra Zeneca jab have been ill and I don't want any more illness thank you very muchOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943

Well done on getting your second jab. That will give you more peace of mind hopefully

Shame your Dad sounds like a real tightwad. Use the money your mum gave you for horse riding or a nice treat when you can. She is probably like me in that it gives her pleasure to make things a bit more comfortable for her daughter.
Maybe build up the exercise gradually again? I agree that often the more you do the easier it gets.
Good you now had both jabs. Interesting about AstraZeneca jab side effects. We had our first vaccination this Tuesday and that was AstraZeneca. Only side effect so far after 48 hours is a stiff arm for me, tiredness yesterday for us both but DH was feeling very cold and shivery Tuesday evening. I was fine apart from the tiredness and a bit lethargic yesterday. Both back to normal now though and we said it is better than getting Covid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I was poorly after the AZ vaccine but it only lasted a day thankfully. Mr SA was fine. I get my second jab in May and I’ve booked the following day off work just in case I feel rough again. Must be such a relief for you to be fully vaccinated after your ordeal with Covid.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
