ladyholly said:I would love a personal chef even occasionally. I loathe cooking mainly because the list of stuff dh wont eat is far longer than the stuff he will eat. Strange thing is when he went to China a few years ago he ate all sorts of stuff including jellyfish and ducks feet. When we both went I tried the jellyfish but was not impressed at all. Opted out of the ducks feet. Now I cant even get him to eat rice or noodles. He doesnt touch cakes, biscuits, chocolate but does get through a fair number of packets of crisps.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942

Had a visit from one of my next door neighbours earlier, she called to ask if I had heard the scratching noises in the walls🙀🙀 so I said I had heard something in my loft and possibly the wall, she told me they had a rat in their kitchen back in the summer so she called out pest control, the pest control person came and looked at the outside of my property and noticed the hole under my front door step, he told her they could be getting in that way and the upshot is that her dad has offered to come and fill the hole in for me. I told her I was going to get a builder out to come and look at it but was worried about how much work it would be and the cost but she said her dad would do it for me, I offered to pay but she said he won't accept a payment because he already has the stuff to it. I have agreed to him coming and doing it whenever he is free, how kind is that 😊
In the meantime I have again heard scratching in the loft so need to go and investigate, it will have to wait until the weekend though because I don't like going up there when DD isn't here, these bl**dy rodents are going to be the death of me 😡 I don't want to poison them but it's hard to see a way of getting rid of them so they won't come back but I can't have things running round in the loft, I'm still convinced that it's something bigger than a rat up there,it makes a hell of a racket when it's running around 🙀🙀 I feel like I'm going bonkers this evening,I was sitting here earlier and distinctly heard someone trying the front door handle but when I went to look there was no one there 😟
In other news today is day three of no naughty food and I actually wasn't hungry today which is very unusual for me. Tomorrow will be the next test because I'm working and I know there will be chocolate, cakes and biscuits in the staff room, my work colleagues are going to think I'm ill when I don't have anything 😀 I'm on an 8 hour shift tomorrow so less breaks which is a bonus. I'm taking a jacket potato and cheese for my lunch so that should fill me up and I've got bananas and oranges for snacks

I've just discovered I've lost my yearly bus pass that I get through work. I must have had it on the bus to get home on Friday but I haven't used it since then and I have looked everywhere for it, it's worth £624 and has no photo ID so anyone can use it, I just have to hope some kind person has handed it in, I will be ringing the bus company in the morning but won't get a NSD tomorrow now because I will have to pay for the bus 😢Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942

Onebrokelady said:I look ill at anything below 9st, when I got to my first ever goal weight of 7st 13lbs all the comments were that I looked tired, it was in the winter though and I was very anaemic at the time, I went up to 8st 3 by the summer and got a tan which looked better but when I look at photos of that time I think I look too thin.
It's such a shame you can't do the active things you enjoy. That must be a difficult adjustment to make and I know I would struggle. Re counting calories, as I don't seem to need all that many I now celebrate any quarter pound decrease in weight as a victory, rather than saying I need to lose some larger amount by whenever. A quarter pound actually lost is after all of much greater value than an intention to lose a stone!
I do hope you can get back on horseback in the not-too-distant, by the way.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
