Here I am recommending the FB groups again but the Pinch of Nom one is good to follow for weight loss inspiration. Not all will be veggie but there are a fair few and you can always substitute.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Good luck with weaning yourself off sugar OBL. I agree that the longer you go without it the easier it gets. Do you like grapes? They're very sweet but obviously just have natural sugars in and are a good substitue for chocolate when you crave something sweet. Strawberries are also very sweet and make a good chocolate substitute.
I try to eat chocolate only on special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Easter Sunday, etc, but have been craving it on Sundays recently. Still I figure once a week is better than every day. I don't buy cakes or biscuits routinely as if they're in the house I want to eat them, whereas I can't be bothered to walk to the shop to buy them. I think it will be easier to eat healthily in the spring/summer when it's pleasanter to exercise.
I feel your pain at work though! Some staff regularly bring in cakes and brownies they've bought or baked and leave them on the table in the staffroom. They've always gone by the end of lunchtime. Luckily for me I work over lunchtime and I generally don't feel hungry when I'm working so I never feel tempted. Quite a few of the school staff are overweight and I can see why! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Good luck with the diet , I stopped buying biscuits and crisps at the end of October. I buy a few sweets for the children but they invariably go when they are here. I have always been a fruit lover so tend to eat that now . I have managed to lose 1st 9lb since the end of October the stone I put on during lockdown and another 9lb so far. I need to up my exercise now to lose the 2stone I am aiming for.Small changes I find are what helps me not all out gung-ho . Agree with SA about pinch of nom love their recipes .Enjoy Sunday .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3

I sometimes buy a bunch of grapes, take them all off the stalks, then freeze them. A little pot of frozen grapes for that 'hand to mouth' nibble ritual on an evening when watching TV can sometimes con my brain into thinking I've had a treat. Especially nice on hot summer evenings.

I definitely do not find any kind of fruit to be a good substitute for chocolate ,biscuits and cakes, I like grapes but they just don't hit the spot for me, I'm eating fruit because I know I should but I don't enjoy it at all, apples belong in a crumble, bananas should be a fritter, grapes should be wine, strawberries are only good with thick cream or in a pavlova 😂😂😂
Oranges are the only fruit I enjoy eating but then I don't like any orange desserts so that helps 😂
