Good to hear you have had a couple of good days at work, always helps if shared with a friend. The veg and fruity box sounds like a good idea if you can share the cost with DD .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

Today I've had quite a nice day off 😊I actually got up at 9.30 for a change 🎉🎉 I walked B but only a short walk because I was going into town for fruit and veg, I also had to stock up on toiletries and went to Wilkos for some pet supplies.
I've decided today that along with recording my NSDs I'm also going to record what I'm spending and where. I'm keeping all my receipts so I can keep a close eye on where the money is going. I really want to make my budget work well now that I've reduced my hours so need to keep a close eye on things
Tonight I cooked meatfree sausages from the freezer. I used the leftover new potatoes and the parsley and spring onions from the homity pie mixed with grated cheese and a bit of butter then baked in the oven along with tender stem broccoli ,it was lovely and used up things that would have been wasted 😊
I also had to take my life in my hands tonight a trim the killer cats claws, this is the cat I re homed from DD1 and he can be very nasty. I asked DD2 to help hold him and she came in with the oven gloves on 😂😂 once I had stopped laughing I managed to get them trimmed without losing any fingers 🎉🎉he was actually better behaved than our friendly cat who goes mad if you try to trim his claws, they had to be done though because they were far too long, he now won't keep getting stuck to the settee, carpet ,my clothes
TomorrowIm working a nice 9-5 in clinics so a shorter day for me followed by three days off which Im really looking forward to
Ive just got to make my lunch then I'm off to bed
Today's spends were
Mr S food shop = £27.60
S Drug toiletries = £14.73
Wilk*s pet stuff= £6.50

Busy day today once once I finally got out of bed. I ended up clearing out a cupboard in the kitchen that the boiler used to live in, it's now used for pet stuff, my tool box, mops and other general cr*p, we thought there was a mouse in there because the dog and both cats have been sniffing the vent in the door, anyway I discovered a bag of birdseed that had been chewed through and eaten, there were seeds everywhere. I've now cleaned out anything that doesn't belong cleaned it all and put everything back in a tidy organised way, it looks lovely in there now 😀
Ive also been out and sorted the 🐓🐓run out, the slabs had moved a bit so I've relaid a couple and pushed them back into place so there are no gaps, the wire I put underneath seems to be working as a temporary measure but they will just move along to the next slabs over before too long so when the better weather comes I need to move the run and lay wire under all the slabs, I'm then going to bend it up so it attaches to the wooden framework at the bottom and I can tack it in place with fencing tacks, nothing will get in there then and I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place. These bl🐭🐭dy rodents will not win 😡😡
Im on day one of no chocolate, biscuits or cake today and I really really really want some chocolate 😢😢😢 so far I've had an orange two plums and a banana 😀it's just not the same. I also can't decide what to eat for tea, I've got lots of things I could make butI'm tired now so don't feel like cooking anything 🙄

Could you allow yourself low calorie sweet stuff like those Fibre One cakes? I buy WW choc bars, I’m not a chocoholic by any means, they’re only tiny but go down well with a coffee. Or you could bake some healthy biscuits?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Good luck with avoiding the sweet things - I find it gets easier as time goes on.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I forgot to say that yesterday wasn't a NSD because I forgot to take my water bottle to work so had to buy a bottle of water, the water cooler in the OPD is out of order and I can't go a whole shift without a cold drink especially with a mask on all day
Today has been a NSD though 🎉🎉
I've been a busy bee today, after cleaning out the kitchen cupboard I moved all the furniture in the living room and hoovered underneath it all, I also took all the cushions off the settee and hoovered underneath ,it's all looking lovely now for 5 minutes. I'm doing upstairs tomorrow
Im hoping for a dry spell tomorrow so I can go for a decent walk, I tried taking B out for our usual walk through the fields in the pouring rain today and she just wasn't having any of it,I was practically dragging her up the lane so I came home again, she trotted along quite nicely once she realised we were going back home 😀
I am going to cook earlier in the day as well tomorrow because I get too tired later in the day and then end up eating rubbish, tonight I ended up finishing off some Quorn chicken nuggets with baked beans and a fried egg, I am happy to say that I did not enjoy it at all so won't be buying that particular beige food again.
DD has been fancying a chicken and leek pie so tomorrow I am going to make one for us both,I have Quorn chicken pieces and I'm going to adapt the filling I use for the leek croustade and use it in a pie instead, it's basically leeks and sweetcorn in a white sauce so I'm just going to add the Quorn pieces and put that in a pie instead of baking it with the breadcrumb base and topping ,we have cauliflower, swede and cabbage to go with it , we aren't having potatoes because we are having pastry 😀 I am also cooking some apple to make stewed apple which I love and cooking some of the mixed berries from the freezer to make a compote to go in my overnight oats, I'm allowing myself some runny honey in my oats as well 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943
