My journey to a debt free life

Today I haven't had to go anywhere apart from my garden. DD was up early so walked B before I was even out of bed. I've done all my house jobs sorted the chickens and made the chicken and leek pie for tea, I just need to cook the veg to go with it. I have had a really bad headache which has spread into my nose and top lip this afternoon. I hit my head quite badly yesterday and have a bruise on my forehead so I'm not sure if it's because of that or just one of my usual headaches. If it doesn't go away soon I'm going to go and lie down for a bit
Today will be a NSD due to not going anywhere 🎉🎉
Tomorrow I have to go into town because the fabric conditioner was missing from the shopping, it's one of the items I like to order because it's heavy so I normally order two bottles. I'm thinking I might walk into town tomorrow to get some exercise, it depends on the weather, I'm not walking if it's chucking it down. I will get the bus home again as I'm not up to walking both ways at the moment. I had to take some codeine in the early hours because I woke up in a lot of pain everywhere, it's still there but not as badOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
It’s like when people say to me that a banana fills them up - really 🤔 I like a bit of fruit but it’s no substitute for real food. Plus it’s full of sugar even if it is fructose it’s still sugar. I have a diabetic friend at work who used to watch me eating grapes and declare she couldn’t eat them because of the sugar content. Later in the day I’d see her snaffling quality street or similar 🤣
It’s annoying when the heavy stuff is missing from an online order. Hard to believe a supermarket had no fabric conditioner in stock.Could the pain be sinusitis? I had it a few years ago and it was very similar - headache, nose and mouth ache. Really unpleasant 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
@Onebrokelady re healthy puddings, how about coring an apple, filling the hole with currants, pouring honey over and baking? Topped off with plain yogurt, it's champion! Banana baked I honey also good. You are doing brilliantly, keep going love Humdinger x
Just seen your earlier post about baked apples with sultanas so sorry to waste your time! I've heard that freezing a banana can be like ice cream!2 -
I agree with you totally on the fruit as puddings! Dates belong in sticky toffee puddings! XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Do you like pineapple - griddle some with a sprinkle of cinnamon and serve with coconut yoghurt. You are doing really well. I too am 5 ft and my weight was always between 7and a half stone and 7 stone 12 lb in my younger days. I was virtually 10 and a half stone - to some it doesn’t seem much but I’m a tiny frame with joint problems and felt ever extra ounce. I’m just over 9 stone now and want to get below 8 and a half stone.....I doubt I’ll ever see a weight starting with 7 again. I’ve really struggled these last few weeks.....my meals are fine but I’m snacks on all sorts of rubbish 😒 I think a lot is stress eating as I think work is on my mind....but it’s just one excuse after another....I need to get a grip 🤞👍January spends - £587.582

Not sure if there's something about this thread but I'm yet another who's fractionally over 5' and hasn't been eating 'properly' recently.
I did get down to below 8 stone once but had to put weight on again as it was clearly wrong for me - I felt I was all ribs! Most uncomfortable. Now I'm aiming to be back to about eight and half but am inching up again.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Haha 100% agree re fruit not being a substitute for cakes lol sort of thing my wife says 'eat a banana' yeah 100 not going to satisfy my craving for a slice of victoria sponge so not gonna bother mate. Seriously well done will say 100% gets easier as time passes the cravings probably will still be there but more manageable / less frequent.3

The trouble with dieting and I have many times yes the cravings get less but you cant just give up food like you can cigarettes or similar so there is constant temptation especially if you have to prepare meals as well.
