milann said:Hope your get the rats sorted. I hate the idea of rats. We had one on the bird table a few years ago - next door have since got the most beautiful long haired black cat but it’s the biggest thug of a cat I’ve ever come across😂.....but thankfully not seen any more of the rats for a good while. There is a railway line at the bottom of my avenue so I know they’ll be there....I just don’t want to see them 😳
We were talking about the effect this pandemic will have on young children. How will they learnt to socialise when they are (rightly) kept away from people - our youngest gs keeps saying - ‘you come and knock on my door Grandma and I’ll let you in’ ......and last weekend when we did virtual cake for her uncle - she went quiet and said ‘I wish I could be THERE’ pointing to the iPad 😭 it’s heartbreaking. I’m hoping it won’t be for much longer once the effects of the vaccine take hold. We’ve just got to hang on in there and stay safe.
Your house plans sound good 👍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Yay managed to drag myself out of bed at 10.30 today but still not feeling very energetic. I am happy to report that it was lovely and sunny this morning so I took B for our favourite walk through the fields, it was so warm 😀🎉 it's going a bit cloudy now but I'm at home all day now so I don't care if it rains
I am just having a coffee to see if it will wake me up then I'm planning on doing some jobs. I'm also waiting for my chicken supplies to arrive so I can sort them out,I had to buy a new drinker because I dropped the last one and it broke,I only had it a couple of weeks 😳 it will make life a bit easier though because it's a 3litre capacity one so I won't have to fill their water up everyday, they are using an old casserole dish at the moment but it gets really dirty so I have to every day
I haven't got to cook today because I'm still eating the macaroni cheese I made the other day ,it's turned out really nice and stodgy just how I like it
Today will also be NSD 1 for FebruaryOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
The chicken supplies arrived but when I opened the box I discovered the bag of corn had a big hole in it and no corn, there was loose corn in the box but not 5kgs worth. The box it was in had a message on it saying it had been resealed by DPD and was covered in DPD tape, I'm really annoyed because when I took B out for her evening walk there is a trail of corn all the way up the pavement to my house and loads on the road where he parked his van so he must have seen it ,if I had known I wouldn't have accepted the delivery. I phoned DPD but was on hold for twenty minutes so I gave up and emailed them instead. They have said I have to contact the vendor of the product to raise a complaint with DPD so I've emailed Pets At Home to see if there is anything they can do,in the mean time I've been left with a lunch box of corn to last the 🐓🐓until I can get some more 😡 there were also fat balls in the box and some of the bags were broken so the fat balls were loose,I reckon someone dropped it, the base of the water drinker was also bent but luckily I managed to straighten it out, I wasn't be ordering online from them again 😟
I went up to clean the run out earlier and lifted the slab I've put the wire under and there was a new tunnel but they hadn't got through the wire so my evil plan worked
Me -1 Rats - 0 😀
I haven't got much else to report today, I did get some jobs done round the house and two loads of washing. DD came home early from work with a bad migraine and went straight to bed, she used to get them when she was on the pill but isn't on it at the moment, she does have to wear an FFP3 mask all day at work so it might be that pressing on her nose, she said they also smell weird and you get a metallic taste in your mouth 😳 her headaches have got worse since she had covid so it could be an after effect of that
I'm back at work tomorrow but I'm on a study day so not actually working, it's our yearly mandatory day to do Basic Life Support, Safeguarding, Manual Handling and Fire Safety, it's 7.30 until 3.30 so the same as working an early shift. There should be a second day on Friday but it's been cancelled due to the virus and the fact that we have barely any staff, I will be working instead on Friday but I'm not sure which shift they will want me on, I need to find out tomorrowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
How annoying about your delivery , they should send you another bag at no expense to yourself. I intensely dislike training days I can never sit still and end up yawning which is very naughty .Hope DD is feeling better in the morning .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Very annoying about the delivery. DPD are usually good as a rule. The shop should send you a replacement free of charge and claim from DPD. I hate doing mandatory training 🥱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Frustrating about the delivery.
I've found a chewed bag of rabbit food in the garage so suspect I have got mice in the garage. Once the kitchen is done and out the garage, I'll be storing everything in a storage box to stop them getting to it. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Onebrokelady said: I don't like training days either for the same reason, it's also freezing cold in the training rooms now because they insist on having all the windows open 🙄
I'm afraid I'm the villain who goes round opening windows at work!
P.S. I'm not a big fan of training days either - in normal times the trainers are pretty good about keeping us involved, letting us move around etc but that's harder on the computer. I once drifted off in a muggy training session (hope no one noticed!) so online isn't the only guilty party. I'm just not cut out for sitting still without a forum or computer game to hand!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m another who hates training but since I have only been in a couple of months over the last year I’ve missed all mine. It’s rubbish service with the chicken feed 😡 Somebody should refund you .January spends - £587.582

Oh that's really annoying about your order, OBL, especially as you could see a trail of the item outside. Yes, you should definitely get a refund. It's just the faff of putting these things right which puts us off, I think. It's a hassle, but you have paid for something, you should get it, not whatever little % of t is still in the bag after the delivery man has finished wafting it up the street!

P.S It did make me smile that the chickens have turned their beaks up at some worms, which are now seconded onto being badger dinner!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
