I'm so relieved DD will be able to stay with you OBL :). Financially it will be much better for you both and it would have been very lonely living on your own when you can't have a social life. Now you can focus on getting your floors, etc, done :).

Hi everyone, we are both very relieved that she is staying put for now 🎉🎉like I say I do know she is going to move out at some point but right now is not the best time for either of us
I woke up very late this morning so apart from walking B I haven't achieved much at all. It's a horrible windy rainy day here but I was determined to go for our usual walk through the fields so B wore her coat and took my big umbrella and off we went. The horses on my route never really take any notice of me when I'm walking past but today they were very interested and I think it must have been my umbrella, they were edging closer to look at it but were obviously nervous of it, it's a see through one  so not bright colours or anything. I put it down to see if that made any difference but they looked like they were wondering where it had gone 😀I talked to them for a few minutes but me and B were getting wet so I had to leave, I didn't want to spook them either but it was quite funny
I'm now trying to talk myself into going up the garden to sort the 🐓🐓 I really don't want to go back outside though 😟
I am going to have a look at my bank account when I get back in so that I can transfer any savings over into the relevant accounts.
I am also going to have a go at making macaroni cheese for my tea,I was supposed to be making bolognese but I don't fancy it now, they only thing missing from my cheese sauce will be a bit of mustard because I forgot to get some but I'm sure it will be ok. I really need to sort my herb and spice cupboard out because it's not very well stocked due to me not cooking from scratch normally, I would like to make the effort more often though and I'm trying to get together some cheap and easy meals that I know I love and that I know I will make

  • Glad to hear DD is able to stay local , must better for everyone.
When are you thinking of having your floors done ? Do you have an idea of cost already ?
I don't blame you not venturing outside again it is a bit chilly out there , well it is here in the North .
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

  • It's really cold today. That's interesting about the horses. They must have been curious x

It would be lovely if you could build a little relationship with the horses you pass on your walk as I know you have an empathy with them.
Brilliant news about your dd being able to stay at home. That’s your cue to get the jobs done before she moves on.....and if she stays longer - maybe throw some at the mortgage.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
    January spends - £587.58

I just normally watch them from afar, they can't come up to the fence because there is a thick hedge 😊
It is brilliant news about DDs placement 😊

I'm going to wait until they review the lockdown and then plan when to do it once I know roughly what's happening. I don't really want anyone in the house during the lockdown. I have had a quote of £600 from one company just for the living room ( it's a big room ) but that was with me measuring myself and sending them the measurements via FB messenger, so I will need to get them out measure it properly, I have a small entrance porch,a living dining room and the hall at the back which is L shaped, then the kitchen needs a subfloor and flooring on top . I have found another company that someone I know used and recommends so I can ask them for prices as well
I also really need to paint everywhere before I get them done but this depends on me finding some energy from somewhere
