Hear you re the mask wearing - gets me down its become the norm too. Reminds me of first fee earner I went on after lockdown 1, met the LL at the unit both wearing masks, said to him hope it's over before long seems really weird to not see faces and the distancing etc like we've woken up in some dystopian fantasy ha. Do wonder if normal social interaction is being slowly eroded tbh all I hear parents saying to kids 'keep your distance' etc. Tbh can't even face saying it to my son. He's quite good generally but I hate telling my kid to keep distance from others, not interact etc. Concerns me how this will affect him and other young kids socially tbf.4

One thing working with children has shown me though is that they can cope with a lot more than we give them credit for and they do bounce back quite swiftly 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

I'm confused about my council tax, it comes out of my bank on the 1st of the month so I thought the last payment would be the 1st of Jan then we don't pay February and March, but it's been taken out of my bank today, the payments resume again on the 1st of April so that means I won't get two months without paying 🤷♀️
Today went a bit pear shaped because I didn't wake up until 11am 🙀🙀 I keep waking up through the night mainly due to pain. Last night I took a Kalms night time tablet and got off to sleep fairly easily but I woke up at 4am in lots of pain so I took my usual dose of codeine and paracetamol which did eventually work, it took me a while to get back to sleep though because of course my mind was doing the 4 am thing where you think of everything and anything and can't stop,I then had the most boring dream ever about trying to buy the perfect potato masher 😀 followed by one where a woman stole my favourite T-shirt and sold it at a jumble sale. My imagination knows how to have a good time 😂😂
Once I had dragged myself out of bed I was quite productive. I took B for a short walk before going into town for some bits of shopping and had to post DDs new Kindle back to Amazon because it has broken 😟 I was only out for an hour so not too bad. When I got back I discovered I had missed the delivery of my chicken supplies but they are going to come back tomorrow, it wasn't due until Wednesday and if I had known I would have waited in. I'm at home all day tomorrow though so will be here to get it, I don't know why they didn't just leave it outside,I'm sure no one is going to run off with two bags of chicken feed 😂
I actually got to spend some time out in the garden today, I wasn't supposed to but when I went up to sort the 🐓🐓I discovered the paving slab that I relaid had moved again, I pulled it back up and there was another rat tunnel underneath it, the one next to it was wobbly as well so I ended up taking them both up and filling it all in again, I've put a layer of weldmesh wire underneath to try and stop them from digging it up again,it's a temporary fix until I can lift the whole thing up and wire the whole floor but I won't be doing that until the better weather arrives . It's so muddy up there and I slipped a couple of times but managed to stay upright,I need to get this sorted because I'm not paying to feed rats 😡
When I eventually made it back into the house I had a quick run round with the hoover. I also got two loads of washing done and put the shower curtain in to wash
I'm now chilling out with a cup of tea and a bag of mini eggs 😍😍
I did some banking this evening too so have moved some money into the house fund. The SC payment has also come out so I need to update my signature. I've got to try and phone them this week because I need to do my yearly review, it should have been done in December so it's late,I'm thinking they are being a bit more lenient because of the current situation but I don't want to leave it too longOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
Are you sure that you don't pay your council tax over 12 months? Can you check back on your statements as yes normally Feb and March would be council tax free months.

The rats are an ongoing problem unfortunately, I have woodland behind me and it's full of wildlife. We usually just rub along together without seeing each other but I draw the line at them eating my chickens food, Myself and all my neighbours feed the wild birds so unfortunately there will be rats not too far away 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
Definitely check with the council about the money going out. I pay mine at the end of the month and they’ve taken the last payment of the year so I won’t pay anything end of February and March. Your dreams sound as exciting as mine - last night I dreamt I was sitting on a bus without a mask on, must be wishful thinking 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hope your get the rats sorted. I hate the idea of rats. We had one on the bird table a few years ago - next door have since got the most beautiful long haired black cat but it’s the biggest thug of a cat I’ve ever come across😂.....but thankfully not seen any more of the rats for a good while. There is a railway line at the bottom of my avenue so I know they’ll be there....I just don’t want to see them 😳
We were talking about the effect this pandemic will have on young children. How will they learnt to socialise when they are (rightly) kept away from people - our youngest gs keeps saying - ‘you come and knock on my door Grandma and I’ll let you in’ ......and last weekend when we did virtual cake for her uncle - she went quiet and said ‘I wish I could be THERE’ pointing to the iPad 😭 it’s heartbreaking. I’m hoping it won’t be for much longer once the effects of the vaccine take hold. We’ve just got to hang on in there and stay safe.
Your house plans sound good 👍January spends - £587.584 -
