Do any of us look "normal".  I too haven't worn make up for some weeks.  I may look rubbish but my skin is loving it.
My skin is enjoying it too, mind you I only wear it if I'm going to meet someone for coffee or nights out,I don't wear it for work or if I'm going to be at home

  • That's great about NSDs and getting a dessert will ease the pressure a lot.
Glad the money is ok though and having money for savings is also a bonus.
    Enjoy your time off. X

  • It's not surprising if you look a bit peaky OBL as you have been very ill. It will be more restful for you to go to DD's for Christmas and cheaper.

I hope you enjoy your week off and we get some more sunshine in Devon, we deserve it after all the rain we've had.

I don’t blame dd wanting you to go to her. All the children will want to do is play in their own house with the toys Father Christmas brought - like you said they can nap in their own rooms giving the grown ups a bit of time together. Bet you’ll have a lovely day together 🎄

  • Hi OBL, I've read your diary for ages and when I saw the comments from your mum and friends about you still looking a bit ill I thought I'd pop in with a suggestion.  Which is to use that moisturiser with a bit of fake tan in it.  You only have to use it every few days and it really does give a little bit of a glow and brighten the complexion up.

I am naturally very fair with freckles and in winter I often look very washed out, with the freckles standing out more and making my underlying skin tone looking even paler.  If I ever get comments about looking a bit tired I  immediately use the moisturiser a bit more frequently and the next time I see people they say ' oh you're looking much better'!  I use the D*ve one which isn't expensive and oK for sensitive skin, but there are loads out there.

Hope you are feeling better and have a relaxing few days off work.

I'm quite proud of my NSDs 😀 I try really hard to have them but something always happens and I end up spending money ,yesterday it would have been ibuprofen because I have a painful neck and shoulder and forgot to take them to work, we have a Boots chemist at work and I was tempted to go and buy some but I made do with paracetamol because I didn't want to spend 30p 😂 it's does ease the pressure a lot, I'm feeling quite relaxed about it now, I will take a couple of desserts and also some wine or alcohol too 😊

Thanks Hairy, Im really tired so looking forward to my week off, I do have some things I would like to get done but will have to see how I am. The last two days here have been lovely until today so quite good for November. I'm hoping it will dry out and some point because I have lots of leaves to sweep up and they are all soaking wet.
