The story of how you got into debt is really interesting OBL. I'm really sorry about your first daughter, that's a dreadful thing to have to deal with and I expect the sadness of that will be with you for ever 😥. It sounds as though your ex was responsible for most of your debt by his bad influence and bad habits rubbing off on you. On the plus side he did help you to have two lovely daughters though so he wasn't a complete waste of space
. You've really turned your money around and I don't think you'll ever go back to your old spendy ways .
It's a good idea to mention the pain in your chest when you go to the doctor. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Your house looks lovely and festive. I cant really get into Christmas yet but watched Nativity and wrapped a few presents today to try and get into the Christmas spirit. Definitely mention the chest pains to the GP.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Would it help to cook two or three portions and freeze some (I think you used to do that)? That way perhaps you could have two out of three days of the meal being ready before you go off the thought. Have your taste buds improved at all?Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
foxgloves said:Agree with Cherryfudge that batch cooking is probably the way forward here. I think of this as making my own 'ready meals'. We also do a lot of 'Make the recipe for 4, but eat it two days running. Did that with roast butternut macaroni cheese Sun & Mon and will be doing again with my sausage casserole on Fri & Sat. It' s useful when you're busy, knackered or both.

Two steps forward and one step back, I woke up this morning not feeling too bad but I don't feel too good now so I'm going to bed in a bit😟 I am sooooooo tired today
I dyed DDs hair today and although the colour wasn't quite the right shade it does look nice and she likes it and that's all I've done apart from sort the 🐓🐓and walk B. I have been knitting today and I'm nearly up to the armholes on my jumper now, I think I will finish it before Christmas
I'm not sure about today's announcement that we can celebrate Christmas with three families. I won't be doing this anyway but I just think it's a recipe for disaster and a bit of a kick in the face for those people who have lost family members😟 I don't feel right partying when so many people have died. I watched the news tonight and there was a piece on there about a ten year old boy who had died from covid,he had underlying health problems but also had a good quality of life with his family, the piece was filmed in Bradford I think and they showed the boys funeral, there have been 55 burials in that cemetery in the last two weeks due to covid ........55 loved ones in two weeks ........it makes my heart break and I'm sitting here looking at my twinkly tree and feeling sick at the thought of it
