The best Christmas we ever had was when we decided to drive to the coast on Christmas Day with the dog and had a lovely walk on the beach. We took a picnic which we ate in the car and we sat outside a pub with a drink (mainly so we could use their toilet as public ones were closed). The weather was unseasonably warm and sunny and the roads were empty. Sadly this was shortly before Mr SA became ill the following March. Very fond memories of that day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I reduced my hours a couple of years ago and I've not regretted it, though I do, in normal times, have the option of picking up extras. I made the decision following an accident that happened when I kept pushing myself to 'do something useful' instead of resting after what I always felt to be the most tiring part of my shift pattern. Taking a couple of months sick leave to recover is one way to stand back and take stock! I'd recommend trying it on a planned basis instead.
SA, that sounds like a wonderful Christmas, really lovely.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I don’t think we will get to dds at Christmas - I’ll miss the children who are still at the lovely ages of 6 and 3 so very much still believe in the magic. We usually go for a walk along the cost nearby too. It’ll be a different Christmas with the bubble of ds with myself and dh (hopefully that’ll still be in place😳) It’s the children that make it......but my son in laws family usually goo too making 8 or 9 of us.......how can they chooses who to ask 😱😱 and that’s if restrictions are lifted........
Cutting your hours sounds the way forward.....wouldn’t it be lovely if you could eventually get to 3 short days.January spends - £587.582 -

Unbelievably I woke up in the middle of the night feeling ill again,I now have another bad chest a raging headache and am aching all over, my chest is now back to square one 😫😫😫 Im not sure if it's the same infection or a new one but I feel awful today
I am working a long day tomorrow and can't take the day off, it's really bad timing as we went live with our new care system today so they need as many staff at work as possible to make sure it goes smoothly. Poor DD 2 is at work today and she text me earlier to say the new system is horrible and she doesn't know what she's doing, this is from someone who uses computers all the time and figure out anything 🙀
I had to pop to the local shopping centre this afternoon because we had run out of bread,I really could have stayed in bed but wouldn't have had any lunch,I bought some oranges apples and bananas as well and two cans of Big Soup,I love the chunky vegetable one 😍
I have managed to do a load of washing and hung that up to dry but apart from that I've not done anything else. I will have to try and get an early night tonight before tomorrow and hopefully I will wake up feeling better or it's going to be a tough dayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8946 -
Hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow and manage your day in work xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
