Currently at home waiting for someone to come out and do a covid test on me and DD2. I stupidly went to work yesterday but didn't  actually do any work because they sent me back home again. I didn't  actually feel as bad as I did on Saturday so that's why I went in but it's a good job they sent me home because by lunch time I couldn't  stand up, I spent the day in bed and felt really really ill,I also had a temperature later on. I went on the 111 website this morning and filled out a questionnaire about my symptoms and it recommended I speak to some one, so I had a very thorough chat with a doctor for half an hour and he decided I needed another test, he also told me that I should have got retested after the last one  because I was still having symptoms. DD2 also has a cough now and a temperature so she is being tested as well, she has been in contact with a covid contact at work so is more likely to have it than me, personally I think I've just got a sneaky virus that's taken advantage of my low immune system at the moment but will just have to wait and see
I text DD1 to let her know I won't be able to babysit on Thursday and all she had to say was that if my test was negative I wouldn't need to isolate so it would be ok, I replied that she hasn't taken into account that I'm actually ill and feel terrible, so she just said she will have to use another one of her AL days which is purely to make me feel bad. I am so close to telling her a few Home truths, she didn't once ask how I was or of there was anything they could do to help, I'm so angry with her at the moment I've had to refrain from texting her otherwise I might say something I will regret

  • I'm not surprised you're upset with her. Not even asked how you or DD are?
Hope you're better soon and you get a rest and some results. I hope its negative and just another virus like you said. I've that will leave you be after a day! If only they existed x
    Hope you feel better soon

Fingers crossed neither of you has Covid. That was very selfish of DD1 to expect you to babysit when you're not well and haven't been for some time on and off. I think you've probably made yourself worse by still doing things when you should be resting. Please make sure you do rest now and allow yourself to recover fully.  Take care and get well soon x

Feel better soon, OBL. Fingers crossed for negative test results. Not surprised you were annoyed with your daughter, because that's a pretty selfish attitude on her part, to be honest. You need to be resting, not child minding.
Take care & let us all know how the test goes.

  • I hope you are both ok, I wouldn't even give your DD1 another thought . We are in the midst of a pandemic , she should be more worried about her mum and sister than having to take AL. Take care both of you and look after yourselves . The
