Sorry to hear about your dad adding to your stress. I can understand him not wanting to bother with surgery at his age though. Hopefully it won’t come to that decision. It’s one thing after another.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I do get what he means with him being nearly 90. Hopefully your mum does know otherwise that will be a difficult conversation to have.

I am sorry to hear about your dad. My brother in law at 87 is very healthy has already said that if he gets cancer he doesnt want any treatment. I think this comes of watching my sister die of it. If it happens I am hoping he may change his mind but at the end of the day it is his choice as it must be for your dad. It is hard to realise your parents are getting older but my only suggestion is to make the most of your time with them.

I can fully understand your dad not wanting surgery. It’s really taken it out of me having bowel surgery and I’m best part of 30 years younger and don’t have cancer.....it’s must be a hard decision to make though....January spends - £587.583
