We took B out for a lovely walk earlier and DD2 popped into the shop on the way back,I sat outside with the dog because we don't like leaving her outside on her own,I was going to go in when DD came out but by the time she came out there was quite a queue so I didn't bother,I was just looking to see if they had any hand cream because my hands are sore 😟I do have some left so will try and get some on Saturday instead
I have been reading your diary from the beginning and I notice that you trying to find hand cream as your hands are sore.
My husband has been working through lockdown, he is a HGV driver, so has been to many sites and his hands were getting sore.
I purchased some cream for him, it is called Nursem, and it has stopped his hands from getting sore. Not only has it sorted out his sore hands, whenever a purchase of the hand cream is made, a supply is sent FOC, to NHS workers as the cream was developed by a nurse. It is not overly expensive however a small amount goes a long way. (BTW I have no association with Nursem)
Sorry for jumping in but thought it may be helpful; I will probably find you have found something suitable by the time I get to the end of your diary but the suggestion is there just in case.
Take care of yourself; you seem to go through a lot health wise but continue to care for your family and members of stranger's families. So a big thank you to you and ALL essential workers x x x

Thank you also for the recommendation of the hand cream Nursem, someone at work actually had some of this at the beginning of lockdown and I meant to try it and totally forgot so now you have reminded me 😀 I tried a little bit and it was very soothing, my memory is so shocking though so I will have gone home and completely forgotten all about it. I'm now keeping a list of things people suggest that I might find helpful for anything at all then so when the need arises I can look at it and find a solution, I've added it to the list. It's payday on Friday so I will probably order some then, my hands deserve a little treat. We were given some tubes of Neals Yard Remedy cream which is gorgeous but it's quite floral and every time I use it it makes me sneeze 😀 I have been using it on my feet because I am fanatical about looking after my feet,I moisturise them everyday and it's too far away from my nose to make me sneeze😀
Again thanks for popping in and feel free to comment at any time xxOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8947 -
foxgloves said:Hope your energy levels are better today, OBL. Re the litter debate. I am always grimly fascinated as to the origins of the litter. Around our part of the county, a depressing amount of it seems to be KFC & Macdonalds litter. If you see big chunks of litter on the road, it is often their wrappings & drinks containers where people have called in to pick up food then chucked all the rubbish out of the car window on the way home. We went to one of our favourite lakeside parks just before lockdown & I'd never seen the carpark so bad for litter. Almost all of it was branded litter from those two outlets, where people had collected food, eaten it in beautiful woodland full of birdsong & wildlife, then thrown all the packaging down on the ground. There are bins fairly nearby but if a short walk across the carpark was too tiring or required overmuch in navigational skills, why not take the rubbish home & bin it?
The other litter there was a couple of cups from another takeaway brand & a plastic takeaway sandwich packet. I think fast food outlets generate a really unacceptable amount of litter & also seem to attract too many people who are unacquainted with the concept of bins.
I treasure green spaces & it really winds me up!

Sorry you still felt exhausted. Hope you are ok. x

Work was good yesterday but I was shattered due to a bad nights sleep, I was in clinics yesterday as they have started some up again and it was nice to be busier after a relatively quiet period, bit of a shock to the old body though😀😀I caught the bus home because I was shattered, I got home sat 20.50 had a shower ate a banana and was in bed by 21.30
I didn't use my duvet last night I just slept under a throw and I slept much better than the night before, I also tried a relaxation/meditation which lulled me off to sleep quite nicely. I was woken by a neighbours dog barking outside at midnight 😡but fell asleep again pretty quickly.
Today I got up at 9.00 and felt a little bit more energetic so my sleep did me good. It's been a lovely sunny day here today so I got two loads of washing done and pegged out and will try and iron that later
I took B out for a lovely walk along the footpath by the fields, I got a nice surprise when I discovered the farmer has put a herd of cows in the first field, he normally just uses this field for hay but I thought he might be putting livestock in there because he put a new fence up a few weeks ago, they were all lying in the shade of the trees right by the fence when I walked past. B didn't even notice them 😀

I'm glad you felt less tired after your good sleep. I like walking past cows as they amuse me for some reason and they are very nosey and often come over to look at people

I’ve had dealings with cows when they’ve been a bit pushy and tried to take things out of my bag. I still think they look quite serene even though that’s not always the case.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
