I'm sorry you're suffering OBL. :( My colleagues and I got stressed when we were asked to work in different care settings but as I'm not at higher risk I decided to try it, partly so that colleagues with higher risk factors might not have to go. However it became evident in my eyes that I wasn't actually needed in the other setting, so I'm going to take shifts as leave unless they are actually short of staff. However, it occurs to me that some of my behaviour might be construed as rule breaking because I've visited my adult children in the garden, though keeping social distancing and disinfecting things that might get touched. It's been done as part of exercise and/or to drop things off for them but we haven't done any activities together and we've been out of doors.

I don't feel we're ready to let up the distancing yet: I've just read up on the Spanish flu pandemic and there were four waves of it. :( I've just scared off someone in a queue who was edging a bit close. I said politely that I work in a care home so they might like to increase their distance. It worked!

I've also seen a photo of a local beauty spot where DH likes to go by bike as part of his exercise. A few weeks go he had it to himself. I'm going to be warning him to go elsewhere now as there was a queue of cars the equal of many a summer Saturday! I can understand people wanting a bit of fresh air especially if they live in town, but the Council is warning people off as we aren't over the peak of the virus in this area and are close to some of the highest incidences in the country.

Sorry to read you’re going through a rough patch with the pain and mental health. Probably best to leave coming off the anti-depressants until things are better virus wise. It’s hard to get through each day as it is without added pressure.

Very windy here too, it would be lovely if the wind dropped as the sun is quite warm when it’s out.
Thanks SA,I'm definitely not going to try to come off them now, they aren't actually working very well at the moment so I dread to think what I would be like without them,I'm going to speak to my gp and see if they recommend upping the dose temporarily or maybe trying a different one
It's lovely here in the sun but like you say the wind makes it chilly, DDs duvet cover is on the line though so god drying weather 😊

It's always stressful when you are asked to work somewhere that you wouldn't normally work isn't it?  We get moved to different wards sometimes when it's busy in the hospital but our ward is quiet, it's always a bit weird because we are used to looking after children and not adults, we also wear scrub tops with cartoons on them so the adults wonder where we have come from 😀

Last time I went to my mums she made me a coffee but she sat in the kitchen and I sat outside in the lean to that joins the house, we were about 8ft away from each other,I think that's acceptable ,is it you who lets the children borrow the garden sometimes,I thought that was a good idea as it was done sensibly, my neighbours kids playing in each other's houses is just stupid and reckless

I will try saying I work at the hospital next time I'm in a queue, mind you I have hay fever going on at the moment and when I sneezed in the supermarket this morning everyone gave me a wide berth 😂

I read the stats on my hospital on Wednesday and they only had 7 patients in the hospital with the virus, they have discharged 166 people but I don't know how many had died, it was low the last time I looked so we must be doing something right. I think it helps here in the Southwest that it's quite rural in lots of places, the people are mostly quite spread out, even where I live on the edge of the city it's very spacious and not at all built up

I just hope the holidaymakers stay away now😊

Hmmm the site seems to be playing up today, some of my bookmarks disappeared and I was signed out just now and had to sign back in 🙀

I have had a properly relaxing day today,DD has done the ironing and is currently cooking our tea, then she is going to hoover upstairs and clean the bathroom,I said if she hoovers upstairs I will hoover downstairs ,it only takes about 10 minutes to hoover downstairs so shouldn't be too much for me,I also need to move a bit or I will get stiff

Yes, I'm the one with the borrowable garden! J and L live in a top floor flat and while they're able to get out and about to exercise, I think it makes a big difference to be able to sit in the sun. A and H have their own garden so we went in there when we dropped some things off, and they went over the other side.

I love the idea of the scrub tops with cartoons on - I read that M&S had donated pyjamas to use as scrubs and I can imagine after this is over that someone asks to speak to such and such a doctor: 'The one in the Star Wars pyjamas'. :D This swapping client groups is educative, isn't it? I found working with older people easier than I thought but then I didn't have the staff shortage that so widely frustrates people's best efforts.

I really feel for people living in flats at the moment,I do feel very lucky to have a garden and my eldest DD also has a garden which is a godsend for the DGC, they have spent most of their time outside while in lockdown 😊

😂😂😂 at the thought of the doc in the star wars pjs, we have a wear your pjs to work day on our ward every year to raise money for charity, it's very strange working in your pjs 😊

  We do sleep ins at work so we do tend to see colleagues in PJs occasionally, but I'm not sure how I'd feel walking to work in them!

    Morning,
Sorry you are feeling low physically and mentally. I agree that it is all of this going on as well as the inability to do normal things that make you feel much better. Hopefully you will be able to get horse riding again.
It is frustrating about people flouting the rules, and it doesn't help when you have MPs travelling hundreds of miles away. It questions why we are doing it, if they think they are above the rules. I know people were not following it before, but I strongly suspect people will not be doing it now because they are annoyed that it is ok for others to do it. I vicious cycle really.

The reading and sewing sounds exactly what you need.
    Have a lovely day. x

Thanks Nicnak, I think a lot of people will quite justifiably stop bothering now the news about Scummings  has come out ,I must admit I'm so close to just saying s#d it and having my grandchildren round, maybe pop to the beach, touch a stranger.......oops maybe not the last one, don't want to get arrested 😀

Wow,I know I'm feeling wiped out but I didn't wake up until 11.30 this morning, poor B was waiting to go out with all her legs crossed, I did have a bit of a restless night and woke up feeling really hot so had to open the window but still 11.30 is a ridiculous time to wake up.
I think I'm going to go back to setting my alarm clock so I at least wake up by 9.30 on my days off

I haven't done much yet today apart from shower, breakfast, walk B and let the chickens out, I was going to hoover downstairs yesterday but didn't get round to it so that's my job for today, it doesn't take long to do so shouldn't tax me too much, then I'm sewing 😊I think if I crack on with it today I could finish it and then I can make a start on learning to knit my socks that I was so excited about a few weeks ago

All garden work has been put on hold while I recover from this pain flare up but I will try and get back to it soon,I did manage to sweep all the leaves from the paths in the middle section of the garden before I crashed so it's actually looking quite tidy, I'm also relieved that I got the grass cut before I started feeling rubbish, although with the lack of rain it's dying now🙄 it did look a mess before though so you win some you lose some, it will recover eventually 😊
