I had a cough and tight chest plus I felt rough but it's gone now thankfully.  My dog doesn't like other dogs either.
That's what I've been like for the past few weeks, funnily enough it seems to come on whenever I plan to do the bathroom 😀

It's such a lovely day here today, the sun is shining and it's actually quite warm,I'm siting here with my door open while a nice slow breeze wafts through the house, we have just taken B out for her walk which we combined with a trip to the local shop so we don't have to go out again, I needed some heartburn tablets but they didn't have the ones I use so I will try the Boots chemist at work tomorrow, this is a prescription medicine that I am slowly weaning off, the problem is if you come off it too quickly you get rebound symptoms which is what I think I happening now, I could go back to my gp but don't want to because they have enough to deal with at the moment and I can buy this over the counter in a lower dose so I will do that

I haven't got any plans today and don't really know what to do with myself, I might read my book for a bit, I should have been seeing the DGC today but of course that is now not happening, there was a silver lining to that though because it meant I could have a lie in this morning 😀

I've just had a visitor as well, not a person but next doors cat, she spends all her time trying to get into our house and we have been able to keep her out through the winter but of course now the doors open she has free rein to come and go, our cat isn't too impressed with this and keeps growling at her but he doesn't do anything to chase her off,I think he has a secret crush, B just lets her in and I'm convinced she thinks we have just got a new cat 😂

  • Hi OBL
My friend once said if someone says something mean in front of people which catches you off guard, just say ‘what do you mean by that’ then watch them get embarrassed when having to explain in front of everyone, they are not so clever then.  Sorry just read to diary and want to say Hi, hope your feeling better soon x
Excellent advice SuperSaving, that would put them on the spot 🤣.

  • I must say im quite relieved now everyone has been told they have to stay at home,it's about time the government put their foot down

Im also a bit worried tonight because my chest has got really wheezy over the course of the evening,I had to use the emergency inhaler that my gp gave me, I really hope it's just the cold I have had for weeks and not the dreaded lurgy 😟
I hope you're okay OBL. It's probably just your cold, but as you work in a hospital could you ask to be tested for the virus?

Hi Hairy, they won't test us unless we have specific symptoms, it's got to be a persistent cough and a temperature, I think this is just the cold I've had on and off for the last few weeks, it goes away for a day or two and then comes back for a couple of days, I've got my echinacea out the cupboard and I'm taking the maximum dose of that daily I've also stepped up my vitamins as well, I think I'm just run down so I'm going to take this time to concentrate on my health and how to improve it, chest feels clearer today and I have hardly coughed at all this afternoon

You definitely don't want to come out of this an overweight, broke, alcoholic... although I'm sure many people will 🤣🤣🤣.

I'm craving a large Costalot latte at the moment 😭.

It's a good idea to combine walking to and from work with exercise. I could do that but I may want to go to the park too as I only work lunchtimes.

OBL - Re your rice pudding.... I was once sent a free carton of hazelnut milk to try. I didn't like it in drinks, or indeed in anything, so because we aim for zero food waste, I made a rice pudding with it & it was fine. Even Mr F ate it & he despises every milk substitute he's ever tried. I did sprinkle plenty of nutmeg on his, though.
