She should’ve kept her thoughts to herself, I hope she apologises. She really shouldn’t have said that. She would get called out for it where I work. I’m sorry such a thoughtless person upset you.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Definitely something that shouldn't have been said, I'm sorry it happened to you. As someone has said, it was probably her own anxiety speaking. Hope you have a better day today x
PS. It was just one person, though. Difficult times bring out character and you may well find some shining stars among the rest of the team.

Oh, that was a very unhelpful, insensitive comment, OBL. I'm not defending your colleague at all, but I wonder if it was an attempt at humour in very difficult, stressful times and it misfired badly.
We don't know you in real life, of course we don't, but while you occasionally mention a fibro flare-up, it's clear that you manage it & get yourself off to work. My advice (which you are welcome to ignore) is to try not to dwell on it & attempt to put it down to a colleague being stressed & it coming out in an unkind & unhelpful way.
However, I don't know how good I'd be at taking my own advice. I'm quite feisty by nature & would probably not have been able to let the comment go, so would probably have made it worse.

What a b***h OBL 😱😡. Completely uncalled for and a very nasty, unkind thing to say. In a time of crisis you can find out what people are really like as their outer layers are stripped away, so she has shown her true colours to you.
I don't think you should worry that everyone is like that though. Dont' take it personally. Clearly you don't moan about your pain at work. She is a nasty person, who can't handle her own stress without lashing out at others and that's her problem, not yours. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I think Foxgloves is right that perhaps it was an unfortunate attempt at humour? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I’m delurking to say I’m sorry to hear that a thoughtless remark has upset you so much. It was a nasty thing to say particularly when it was unjustified. I always admire how you just carry on even when you are in pain or not feeling well particularly under the current circumstances. Perhaps she was just stressed with everything going on. Please try not to take it to heart. Hope you stay safe and well 😊😘Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
