She should’ve kept her thoughts to herself, I hope she apologises. She really shouldn’t have said that. She would get called out for it where I work. I’m sorry such a thoughtless person upset you.

Definitely something that shouldn't have been said, I'm sorry it happened to you. As someone has said, it was probably her own anxiety speaking. Hope you have a better day today x

PS. It was just one person, though. Difficult times bring out character and you may well find some shining stars among the rest of the team.

What a b***h OBL 😱😡. Completely uncalled for and a very nasty, unkind thing to say. In a time of crisis you can find out what people are really like as their outer layers are stripped away, so she has shown her true colours to you.

I don't think you should worry that everyone is like that though. Dont' take it personally. Clearly you don't moan about your pain at work. She is a nasty person, who can't handle her own stress without lashing out at others and that's her problem, not yours.

    Hi OBL
I’m delurking to say I’m sorry to hear that a thoughtless remark has upset you so much.  It was a nasty thing to say particularly when it was unjustified. I always admire how you just carry on even when you are in pain or not feeling well particularly under the current circumstances.  Perhaps she was just stressed with everything going on. Please try not to take it to heart. Hope you stay safe and well 😊😘
Awww thankyou that's a lovely thing to say, she probably is stressed but sadly has a habit of having little digs dressed up as concerned questions,I will be keeping my distance from her, it especially saddened me because she had just voiced a worry and I had been really supportive in my answer to her 😟 I'm also now excited to find out I have people lurking on my diary 😀x

That was an awful comment to make and very uncalled for.

She kept asking me questions all day about how I was going to manage say for instance if the buses stop and whereas before it sounded like she was concerned it just sounded sarcastic, there were 6 other people there when she said it and no one said a thing

Oh, that was a very unhelpful, insensitive comment, OBL. I'm not defending your colleague at all, but I wonder if it was an attempt at humour in very difficult, stressful times and it misfired badly.
We don't know you in real life, of course we don't, but while you occasionally mention a fibro flare-up, it's clear that you manage it & get yourself off to work. My advice (which you are welcome to ignore) is to try not to dwell on it & attempt to put it down to a colleague being stressed & it coming out in an unkind & unhelpful way.
However, I don't know how good I'd be at taking my own advice. I'm quite feisty by nature & would probably not have been able to let the comment go, so would probably have made it worse.

Yes your probably right Foxgloves, it just shocked me because I don't mention my pain at work unless someone brings it up, she definitely wasn't joking, she said it in a kind of exasperated way, I feel better today and won't let it get to me but I will be wary now
