  • Sorry about your fall and flare up OBL. I hope you feel better in the tomorrow and work isn't too bad tomorrow.

It is a very worrying situation for everyone. DH has diabetes so I've suggested he goes out as little as possible to minimise his risk. Although I do think a walk in the fresh air if he's not near people would be okay.

Glad your DD is feeling better but sorry to hear about your fall and the fibromyalgia flare up.  I don't blame you feeling apprehensive about going back to work it does rather feel like the calm before the storm, it's a terrible time.
Hopefully I will feel ok once I get there 😟

I hope you get a good night's sleep and the shoulder soon settles down. Also hope you have a quieter day than expected tomorrow. DS2 is finding things quieter on his ward but that's because there's now a dedicated coronavirus ward. Did you see the Spanish round of applause for health workers? I think all health workers deserve the same.

My shoulder has settled down now thanks, my back is still giving me problems but hopefully it will settle down with time
The hospital is eerily quiet, it's like we are all waiting for something big to happen, today there has been a lot of activity which has resulted in a lot of the hospital being reorganised, they have swapped wards around and moved whole departments into different areas ,it's quite impressive how much they have done in a short time

I did see the Spanish round of applause, it brought tears to my eyes

Work was weird today, the hospital feels odd because parts of it are empty and it's much quieter than usual, our clinic appointments are being done over the phone if possible and anything that isn't an emergency has been cancelled, now we just have to carry on with what we are doing and wait

We all had to fill out forms today to let the senior management know they have correct contact details for us, how long it takes us to get to work and if we have any holidays booked, if so when and where are we going

They have also updated our uniform policy,we aren't allowed to wear our uniforms home anyway but now we have to take them home in a cotton bag that can go straight into the washing machine to be washed at a 60 degree wash preferably on their own

Yesterday I went shopping with DD1 I was running low on washing powder and she had run out completely, we went to MrT and there was no washing powder on the shelves apart from some bottles of branded types,I can only use own brand non bio powder because I am highly allergic to things like Ariel and Bold,I get a wheezy chest if I come into contact with them, luckily we did spot some boxes above the shelves that hadn't been put out for sale yet so I literally climbed up and got them down, there were three boxes left so we took one each and left the third on the shelf in case anyone else needed some
I had to leave the store after that because I felt like I was going to have a panic attack 😟

  • Oh dear it's all very stressful isn't it? It must feel like the calm before the storm. Try and find ways to relax and unwind when you get home from work.

I've heard today that I'm losing all my TA overtime but I still have to go to school to do my contracted 7.5 hours a week MTA job. So I'll still be exposed to infection but I won't be able to pay my bills :(.

I'm so sorry to both of you. It's all so unsettling and there is not enough information out there on anything. x
