Well done OBL for taking that hand sanitiser out of the greedy lady's basket - insert high 5 here
I will admit I would've been tempted to say something to the yobs, I struggle to keep my mouth shut sometimes especially when I witness something like this. It's madness this stock piling business and definitely hyped up by the media making people think they have to rush out and buy things. I for one will not be falling for it. As for toilet roll - why? It's not a sickness bug for goodness sake. Anyway don't get me started …
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Another one say well done for getting the hand gel. I only went for my normal shopping today but it was very busy in our local Aldi but they had everything including the toilet roll and paracetamol.I hope the boots you saw are ok when you try them on. I live in boots all winter so comfort is a big thing for me as well. The bathroom is coming on great guns , am sure it will be finished by the time your leave finishes. How is DD2 now with her stomach, on the mend I hope. I feel the same as though I get rid of one thing and another comes along.Have a good evening.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3

How did the persuading go?
I ended up doing nothing of anything significance today and absolutely nothing that I had thought I would do, but I don't mind! Perhaps that is what you needed as well?
I remember about the boots. I can't get calf length boots to fit me either. I have small feet, but big calves so never end up with any that will go up (not saying that you have big calves!) I just find that they are catered for much smaller legs than I have got.
Have a lovely evening.
Sorry about your daughter. I hate being sick too. x

I only have size 4 feet but as my mum tells me I have bonny calves😂 so I have the same problem, they nearly did up but I would have cut off the circulation to my feet so decided against buying themOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -

Wow, what a lovely day it's been here today,I took the dog for a walk along the river to the pet shop to buy some sawdust and corn for the 🐓🐓it was so warm and sunny I had to take my coat off, the walk along the river was wet because last week it had overflowed the banks so was up on the path, its gone down a bit but there's still a lot of water on the path,we had to pay close attention to the edge so we didn't walk off it into the river 🙀 the dog who I'm going to start calling B because I don't like calling her the dog was very confused because she is used to looking down on the water and not being able to actually walk in it 😂
I came home with the intention of having my lunch then doing some painting but I haven't got off my backside yet,I have an awful headache today so don't really feel up to doing much,I have also been sneezing all morning and I really hope I'm not getting yet another cold,I haven't properly got rid of the cough from the last one yet😡
Poor DD2 didn't go to her placement today because she is ill with a nasty cold, she went in on Monday and I said they would probably send her home because she is working with elderly people, anyway they told her to stay so she did, she also went in yesterday even though she felt ill because they made her feel like she should be there, last night she was in tears because she felt so rubbish😟anyway she didn't go today because she felt even worse, they text her this afternoon telling her they wanted her to ring 111 to get tested for coronavirus 🙀I told her
1...it's a bit late now seeing as you have been in for two days
2....they won't test you because you haven't been abroad or in contact with anyone who has or who has the virus
DD phoned 111 anyway and they said she wouldn't be tested and that from her symptoms it sounds like she has one of the many cold viruses going around this winter, they were a bit concerned about some of her symptoms and have told her to stay at home in the warm, take paracetamol and drink plenty of fluids,he did say if it last for several more days, the cough gets worse or she coughs up blood or faints then she should get an appointment with the GP, hope that it is just a seasonal cold because if not there are now 14 elderly people who have been exposed to whatever she has got,to be honest with how ill she has been I didn't think it was a good idea for her to be in contact with these people anyway, but the manager at her placement didn't care, I think she might be panicking a bit now though, stupid woman😡
I'm feeling as ready as I can be for whatever is going to be happening in the near future,I've got enough food for three weeks, I have enough supplies for the animals for about four weeks,I'm going to be up to date with all my washing and ironing, the house is clean and tidy, so if I get ill I won't need to go shopping and won't have loads of jobs to catch up on
I go back to work on Monday so that's a bit of a worry, obviously I work on a children's ward so possibly the safest part of the hospital but if we are short staffed they will borrow us for adult wards so I could end up anywhere,I'm hoping it doesn't take hold here like it has in Italy because I don't think our health service will cope especially if we have to start self isolating with just cold symptoms, that would effect staff numbers really negatively, the poor healthcare workers in Italy are overwhelmed at the moment and that's scaryOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
It's a difficult one, isn't it, OBL? I returned home after Christmas & brought a lergy back with me. My nephew had been getting over one & obviously passed it on to me while I was there. There weren't many runny nose-type symptoms. I had a cough & my chest was tight for about 3 weeks meaning that talking or a deep breath inwards triggered coughing. I felt tired & generally unwell. If I developed those symptoms now, I'd probably assume I'd better self-isolate. As things develop, I think people with the usual cold/lergy illnesses will also end up staying at home because I can't see there being the resources to test everyone. It will be very stretched at hospitals as more vulnerable people need clinical support for the virus. I can absolutely understand staff being worried.

I'm not looking forward to going back to work next week but I'm glad I had these two weeks off 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Woke up at 7.30 this morning full of energy and raring to get going with my day, fortunately I managed to talk some sense into myself and went back to sleep until 8.45😂
I've just taken B out and got caught in the most awful hail downpour, what a change from yesterday where I was walking round with no coat on 🙀 typically now I'm back the sun has come out
im just having a quick coffee and then I'm off to paying my bathroom walls,DD just had a shower so I wanted to wait until all the steam had gone, luckily my bathroom is not very big so I'm only painting one small full wall plus two others that contain a door and the window so it won't take long
I have a guilty love of property programmes on the telly and last night I watched the first of the new series of Location Location Location, the properties they had on last night were gorgeous and watching it has reignited my enthusiasm for decorating my house, after I've done the bathroom I am going to do the hall stairs and landing,I will start at the top of the house and work my way down,I already have the Matt emulsion for the hall so will probably just need to buy some more gloss
I will have paint left over from the bathroom so I'm thinking I will use that up in the box room so that's another two areas done without spending too much money
Right I had better crack on with it 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944
