Sun_Addict said:Is it the gloss paint giving you a headache? Mr SA suffers with gloss paint fumes, gives him a sore throat and headache. Wilko paint is really good, we’ve used it many times, would definitely buy again.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943

It's DD2s birthday today,I cant believe she is 33 🙀 she didn't want to go outand do anything fancy but we met up with her sister and went for coffee and cake at a nice vegan cafe in town, she is meeting a new friend on Saturday ( female ) and they are going out for lunch for her birthday 😊
I have been really lazy today and not done anything at all apart from lounging on the settee,it's been lovely 😂
I haven't heard from my friend about going out tomorrow so I will be spending the day at home,I'm going to do some more to the bathroom and possibly get the ironing done in between
I still woke up with a headache this morning so I gave in and took some codeine, I'm not surprised that it's now gone, I think it's from painkiller overuse, I have used quite a lot over the last few weeks because of feeling ill, this then causes a horrible headache which I try to manage without codeine for a few days, if I have a break of a few days I can usually take one tablet and the headache will go away but it means I now have to limit my use of any painkiller because the headache will come back, last time I couldn't take anything at all for two weeks which can be quite hard because of the Fibromyalgia , luckily the cold I had seems to be clearing up now so I can stop taking brufen and paracetamol, I will ration the codeine as per my withdrawal plan,I cant just stop taking it because that cause other problems, I was doing well with reducing my meds but the cold set me back a bit, I will get back to where I was by the end of my holiday hopefully, ideally I like to be off the codeine completely by then but I think that might be too quick
I have an overwhelming urge to do some knitting but I'm being strict because I have cross stitch to finish,I'm also champing at the bit to get out in the garden and do some tidying but it's probably still a bit too soggy, if we miraculously have some nice dry days next week I might do something outside then,I am trying to make the most of having two weeks off
I do also need to do some shopping at some point,I'm going to do an inventory and rough meal plan over the weekend with a view to stocking up my freezer and tinned foods just in case, worryingly Mum and Dad went shopping today in the large edge of town Mr S and Mum said there were part empty shelves all over the shop, she asked me if I knew what was going on so I can only presume they don't watch the news anymore ,she uses
hand gel by the sinks at home and it was sold out, she said it was strange that it had all gone and wondered what was going on🙀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
Yay no headache today 🎉😊🎉😊 I have had a largish morning but have taken the dog out, the sunnis actually shining and it felt so lovely on my back as I was walking along, of course it still managed to shower with rain while I was out but I'm just focusing on the warmth of the sun 😊
DD2 is not feeling good good today as she is brewing a cold, probably caught from me, anyway she only to up about an hour ago and then had to shower so I haven't got into the bathroom yet to start work, I'm going to wait for an hour to give it chance to dry out before I make a start
Ive been reading gardening magazines this morning that my mum passes onto me so now I'm itching to get out in the garden, there was a timely article about pruning buddleia which it turns out can be done now,I have a huge one in my front garden that badly needs doing,I keep missing the time to do it and it's got very leggy, that will be added to this weeks jobs too, I want lots of flowers to attract more butterflies so it will do it good
Right I must be off,the sun is out so I'd better let the 🐓🐓out or there will be a riot in the garden 😂

Yes, OBL, February & first half of March is the right time for pruning buddleja & you can cut it back hard. You may well be seeing some leaf buds on it now, so cut back to just above a leaf bud as far down as you want it to go. They regenerate very well & it's the only way to keep them in shape. It's quite a nice job because it means Spring is on its way.

Hi Foxgloves it needs drastically cutting back,im just worried I will cut it back too far,I have only pruned it once and it seemed to reach the same hight again within a few weeks,so this time I want to cut it right down,do you think it will survive if I do thisOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942

Finally finished all the woodwork and the door in the bathroom, I've filled the holes so am now going to start on the walls, I'm painting them with white emulsion first as an undercoat then I will be able to put the colour on on Monday and also hopefully have time to lay the new vinyl floor which will free up some space in the spare room,I've just stopped for a coffee break because my arm is starting to ache a bitOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942

Yes, OBL, buddlejas are virtually indestructible. They need cutting back hard this time each year. It's no good going at it as though you're plucking your eyebrows, you need to apply those secateurs with conviction. As long as you can see at least one or two buds lower down on each branch that you cut, it should come back. Now deep breath, m'dear & be brave.
Am chatting to you from the bench by our pond, cup of tea by my side.

Right .......where did I leave my chainsaw 😂 how nice to be sitting outside, it had reverted back to rain here but the sun has just come back out,it's very windy though so very changeable, the 🐓🐓got caught out and there are now two straggly looking birds staring at me through the back door 😂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943

Great that you got to do the bathroom and that the cramps didn't go into full on stomach bug. I would have been annoyed too if that had been my two week off and I came down with that. It sounds like you have done lots of productive things whilst you have been off to help with your house.
I've never used a gloss that you can do that with either. I absolutely hate decorating so don't envy you for having that job, but that paint sounds like it is making your life a little easier. I always end up binning the brushes after using gloss as I can't stand white spirit and always mess it up somehow. Not exactly environmentally friendly. I've not decorated a room in my house in a long time. I have now started paying a decorator. The last room to be done was my living room and my parents did it.
Have a fab weekend. x
