Just having a quick lunch break ,the decorations are all packed away for another year and I've hoovered downstairs,I've done one load of washing so will hang that up in a minute,I would have put it outside but it keeps raining,

I've cleaned the chickens out and they are pootling round the garden, the dogs been out for a very short stroll up the road because she has hurt her back again, she spent the day shaking and hunched up yesterday,DD gave her some painkillers and gave her some diazepam when I got home, she seems a bit better today so hopefully it's not serious

Im working my way through the cheese and crackers I didn't feel like eating over Christmas and I've eaten the last piece of Christmas cake, all the chocolates have gone so I can now try to get back to a normal diet now I can eat again

Right I had better get back to it

    Glad you're feeling better :)

I've got a lighted twig tree which I bought as a Christmas tree but keep up all year round as it doesn't really look Christmassy. I've also got a twig light garland round the fireplace all year round. I love my fairy lights :D

I got most things done today that I wanted to do but because me and the dog had an unexpected nap I didn't get time to do the bathroom so that's been shuffled to tomorrow

The house now looks lovely and tidy if a little bare,I've been looking at natural ways to clean my oven on Pinterest this evening ,it needs doing but I hate using oven cleaner because its such nasty stuff,I found a couple of methods using baking soda and vinegar so I'm going to try that first,I do have some oven cleaner that my mum bought me so if the natural method doesn't work I will use that, that job has been added to Thursdays job list because I'm busy tomorrow

Tomorrow I'm going to DD1s for the day instead of her coming here,I'm going to have to take the dog with me though because DD2 is now on her placement so won't be home until late and I don't want to leave the dog all day on her own, her back does seem better but I want to keep an eye on her

DD is going to take my eldest grandson to the local playgroup and I'm going to stay at her house with the baby,i can't go because I can't leave the dog on her own at DDs house because she will freak out and bark the whole time, besides it will be nice for the two of them to get out together on their own for a change

I'm now sitting in bed hoping I'm going to start feeling tired soon, earlier on I could have fallen asleep with no problem despite having a quick nap, but now I'm in bed I've woken up

I might read the book I've got on my kindle app, it's about mind body medicine and guaranteed to make me nod off :rotfl:

OBL I am glad you are feeling slightly better and are able to eat more again. My DGD is always looking at dolls houses , she loves playing with them.

I went to a NT property last year in the North East , can't remember which one but they had a brilliant collection of dolls houses they were amazing.

Hope you continue to improve .

Would that have been Nunnington Hall? I seem to remember spending a while going through a gallery of dolls' houses and I think that's where we found them.

Didn't you get a dolls house a while back ?

I did indeed. :) I haven't done much with either that or my original one yet, apart from clean them. The parcel from my sister arrived today though so the little red chair and the piano are back home. :)

The nap was obviously needed. Glad the chickens were ok. I am sure they would just put themselves back home when they wanted to, or were a bit cold or hungry.
