OBL you are always so busy doing stuff , I am in awe of what you achieve in one day. I am with you on the shower stuff , however I only use soap in the shower these days , and would like to try a shampoo bar as well.

    Have a good weekend.

I also spend a fair amount of time sat on my bum:rotfl:

My DD1 is currently using a shampoo bar from Lush, she says it's lovely,I am seeing her later so will try and find out which one it is, she has long really thick hair so it must be fairly efficient to wash her hair properly

I'm going to check out the soap that arsenalbarnie recommended ,I checked out their website and they have lots of different types and it's available in loads of shops so should be easy to find

I use soap in the shower and for hand washing, but luckily for me I don't have sensitive skin so I use Shield which is £1.50 for four bars (it does come wrapped in plastic though but I'm prioritising cheapness).

Ahhh Shield that's another one my mum and dad used to use 😊 I know what you mean about the price and I think that's why half the time people can't change what they are using,I bought Pears soap in a box but it was then wrapped in plastic but it was 70p for the bar, if I want to buy the soap I'm looking at in a box it's £3.99 per bar:eek:

OBL, we have also stopped buying liquid soap. We are lucky in that there is an independent bath bomb/soap shop in our local town & all the stuff she sources is pretty natural & vegan. I bought a bar for a gift recently. She just sliced it off & popped it in a little paper bag. No plastic. Mr F bought a bar for himself & says it's good stuff. It might be worth keeping an eye out for a similar shop.
I also stock up on soaps from the Norfolk Soap Company when we take our tent off to East Anglia each year. They are wrapped in paper & every fragrance I've tried has been fab. The sea buckthorn one I even used on my face as I like to double cleanse.
    I'm trying a shampoo bar next x

I want to try a shampoo bar too, the zero waste shop in town sells soap in no packaging at all so I could go there,I was just trying to see if there was a generic brand that wasn't too expensive that might not be wrapped in plastic but it seems even if it's in a box they still have to wrap it in plastic

The soap I bought to shower with is now being used for hand washing in the bathroom, my hands aren't sensitive so I can get away with it, it makes my hand s smell lovely

Typical,I was at work yesterday and it was a lovely warm sunny day,I'm off today and it's cloudy grey and looks like it's going to rain any minute now.......ggggrrrrrrr

I'm off out this afternoon to DD1s baby shower, we are having afternoon tea at a hotel out in the countryside somewhere,DDs sister in law is picking me and DD2 up at 2 pm, I haven't been to this place before but I'm hoping it's not too posh because I would like to be able to relax a bit

I just trying to decide if I should peg my washing out or not,it's looking a bit grim outside 😟

Oh dear,I think I've upset DD2,she mentioned she was going to wear her converse trainers today and I asked if she had anything else to wear because they are scruffy, she is now stomping round the house like a teenager with a strop on, she does have another pair but she doesn't like them, they at least look clean and tidy though
It's so annoying because she moans about having nothing to wear and feeling scruffy but she then doesn't go out and buy anything to replace the worn out shoes
She will be in a mood for the rest of the day now,I'm just going to keep a low profile and hope she cheers up when we get there

We had a lovely afternoon in the end, the food was lovely and the venue was gorgeous
DD2 is a vegan and they made a real effort to cater for her and I had a vegetarian selection of sandwich's, there was sooo much food we all got a doggy bag to take home
DD2 cheered up by the time we left the house so it was ok in the end

I'm just posting this then I'm off to bed because I've got work tomorrow so have to be up at 5.30 😢 I am really tired though so will hopefully sleep well

Had a rubbish nights sleep last night so today at work was a nightmare,I don't know how I stayed awake,I fell asleep on my supper break and on the bus on the way home, luckily I woke up in time for my stop

Im now more awake than I have been all day which is typical seeing as its bedtime, I'm going in a minute though and hopefully will sleep

Tomorrow I have DGS coming but my DD will be coming too because she is now on mat leave, she is going to spend the day with me tomorrow which will be nice because we don't get to see each other that often,I'm going to get her to show me how to knit socks if we get chance before she has the baby
