The mystery of the bad back has been solved,I wondered if I might have another urine infection so phoned my GP and they referred me to my local pharmacy who offer a testing and treatment service without having to get a prescription,so I went off with a sample and I do have an infection so he gave me the three days of treatment, there was also a small amount of blood in it which means my kidneys could now be involved, that would explain the back ache
I've got three days of antibiotics to take but if the symptoms haven't gone within the three days I have to go to my GP in to rule out anything more serious like pyelonephritis

This is how I felt last time when the nurse in the walk in center said my urine was normal,I had tested a sample the same day at work and it had infection markers and blood in it ,she refused to treat me and then messed up sending the sample to the lab so they couldn't test it,I'm hoping this is a new infection and not that one that's just been lingering,I've had a couple of episodes since then where I've felt like this but just thought I had a bug
Hopefully it will clear up soon,I phoned work to say I would be there tomorrow but if I start to feel worse again I will just have to come home

  • I hope your urine infection clears up OBL, it sounds very unpleasant :(.

I have a basic bank account which doesn't allow me to have an overdraft which I'm very pleased about as I don't want one. You sound like you can manage without one, but then £50 isn't very much so it might be worth keeping just in case. You seem very self disciplined with your spending at the moment :).

I forgot to say earlier that I've just finished reading another really good book,it's called The Salt Path by Raynor Winn and it's the most inspiring story I have read in a long time,Raynor and her husband lost their home due to the fault of a friend who turned out not to be a friend, then her husband was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease, their reaction to all this was to decide to walk all 630 miles of the Southwest Coast Path, the book is the story of their journey
It's heartbreaking and uplifting and really sheds a light on the plight of homeless people in this country
If you get chance and you like reading I really recommend it,Im quite sad I've finished it now

I have finally manage to get hold of a copy of Flat Broke With Two Goats on my Kindle app,I posted about reading this book as part of a readathon on the Libby app but didn't get to finish it in time,I've been trying to buy it at a reduced price ever since and I finally got it the other day,so I'm going to read that one next

I'm not doing any jobs in the house or garden for the next few days because of feeling ill, I was going to be spending time doing some garden jobs last week but the weather was awful and then 8 got ill so they didn't get done, hopefully I will feel better next week and be able to restart where I left off

I did my monthly budget today and things are looking really good at the moment,I've paid all the big bills and just have a few small ones to come out,I still haven't had a water bill but the payment for April has come out and it was the same amount as last month so no change,I am going to phone them but keep forgetting as it's weird not getting a bill
My energy supplier has put my payment back down from £134 to £105 which is good but I'm not sure if it's right because at the beginning of this diary I owed them £500 and they put my payment up then it went up again a few months ago aftertheynread the meter,I'm not sure why it's now gone back down, so I need to phone them too
These phone calls are on my jobs list for Monday,I'm not up to it today and I'm working all day tomorrow, hopefully I will have psyched myself up to call them by Monday

It's miserable and cold here today so I'm snuggling inside with the heating on trying to relax a bit

It has been making me feel quite poorly this week :(

I checked my bank account earlier to do my budget and while I was there I thought I would look to see if I could get rid of my OD but I can't find the option to do it,it just said that due to the amount of activity on my account this month they were unable to change my OD limit,I'm not sure what they mean by that,I haven't drawn my food money out yet this month so have been and bought food shopping with my card a few times so it must be that,I haven't used it for anything else :rotfl: I just have to remember that when I view my available funds it includes the £50 OD so I have to minus that from the total, I worry I will forget and accidently spend it though

  • They probably assumed that you wanted to increase your overdraft, because that's what most people do. It's probably very unusual to want to cancel it completely. Very MSE though :rotfl:.

I can increase my overdraft online but not decrease it. Whenever I have decreased my overdraft, I am always faced with the surprise in the telephone banking's voice. It's like they are not used to it, and ask me a couple of times to clarify!

I need to get more focussed with my overdraft. How is the water infection? I hate having them and that is what they think is the underlying cause of the sepsis. x

I decreased it from £100 to £50 after I got the account,I'm not sure why I can't now,I'm going to wait a bit then try again

The water infection has cleared up again,so I'm feeling a lot better,I'm going to test my myself once a month I think because this seems to be a reacurring problem, thenfirst year I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I had water infections nearly every month and I still don't know what caused it,it just suddenly stopped
