Glad you enjoyed DD's birthday meal, the food sounds lovely .
Sorry you're both feeling unwell though. I don't blame you for not wanting to take the dog out after getting so cold sorting out the chickens . I don't think we've had hail here but it was cold and windy at lunchtime. Luckily my Mr Bump hat kept me warm :rotfl:.

That found does sound lovely. Sorry you weren't feeling so good though. It does put a dampener on it when you aren't feeling so well.
Those chickens of yours are hilarious. I can't see why they wouldn't think to go back in their nice warm home and bed. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

They are a bit dim sometimes,in the summer they shelter under the trees if it rains and because the trees are full of leaves they stay nice and dry,but they also do the same in the winter when the trees have no leaves,I can see them standing there looking at the sky through the bare branches wondering why they are getting wet, when previously it sheltered them really well:rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -

I'm feeling really proud of myself this evening,I bought DD a notice board from the Swedish emporiam as part of her birthday present and it needed fixing to the wall,it meant drilling holes and I don't like using my drill or drilling holes as it never seems to go right, but I actually did it
I have the tools for the job I'm just too scaredy cat to use them, the drill I own was my exes and is really old and a bit heavy for me and I never seem to get the best out of it,so I did some research on the type of drill it is and used it accordingly and it did the job really well,I also bought an electric screwdriver when I was a spendy person but rarely used it,it's great if you have weak wrists and hands like mine,so I also used that to screw the screws in
DD is super pleased with her notice board and I'm super excited that I actually did some diy using electric tools without damaging the house or either of us :rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8941 -
It does sound like a worrying situation with your Mum, could she contact the bank to say her card is out of date and ask for one to be sent to your address?
Well done on the DIY - I never use electric drills as I worry that I couldn't control them but maybe I should give it a try. (Now which wall do we not really value?)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That situation does sound worrying. Especially if he has the card like you think. It is unusual for them not to send a replacement. He sounds like he is getting more and more controlling over even the littlest things. She can't spend anything without he knowing or agreeing.
Those chickens are hilarious. Back of the queue for their brains though!!
Could you possibly take your mum to the CAB and get them to explain to her what she would be able to get?
