Going for internal interviews are worse I think as there is always someone who you think is better than you. I recently had to do this and was overwhelmed by the whole ordeal. My tips are be prepared , get your outfit ready , do yourself notes , have an early night. All you can do is your best , you still have a job whether you get it or not. You have to believe in yourself and if you don't get it , ask for feedback and put it down as a learning curve. You have a business running in the background that is successful so you can't be a failure. Enjoy the rest of your weekend , let us know how you get on .
Thanks Sunshine girl, those are some good tips. I've been prepping and making notes so I'll be sure to keep reading through them. I'll be sure to post once I know the outcome0 -

Hi SSG, unfortunately I didn't get the job. The other person had more experience and she's been qualified longer than me. I did get a sense that they had kind of chosen her for the job even before the interview really. Not that I'm taking that away from her, as she can clearly do the job, but it just seems a bit unfair. Anyway, I'm glad I applied and got the interview experience. It's not like I'm in a job I don't enjoy, it's just a bit hectic. I'm sure there'll be more opportunities for me at some point0 -
I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get the job Lilith.
. As you say it can be rather disheartening to go through the process when you feel that the powers that be have already made up their mind.
Don't be too despondent though - as Sunshine writes, treat it as a good learning curve and remember that you have your successful business as well to spur you on.
I hope you and your hubby have a nice weekend.

Thanks SSG, and you too0 -
Hi Lilith
Interviews are a nightmare. I once had my leg go dead mid interview and ended up totally focused on how to get out of the room. Have you asked for feedback? It can help for your next interview.

Hi Munchin, yes I got some good feedback. The main point though was that the other candidate had more experience, which is tough as there's not a lot I can do in that situation. Just have to keep building my experience0 -
Good feedback is great, you can't change the facts sometimes ie the other person having more experience. Keep on going another post will come up again. Hope you are well, have a good weekend.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0

Hi SSG, and you too
It was hubby's birthday yesterday so I bought him some new Doc Martens as he'd had his other ones for 9 years and they'd started giving up the ghost.
I've decided I need to sort my diet out as I feel I've put on some weight recently. I'm good in the week, but it then goes to pot over the weekends so my healthy eating in the week is being cancelled out. I think it I'm finding it hard due to having a stressful time at work and food being a bit of a comfort.
In money news, I think I might have mentioned I transferred part of one credit card onto another card I have at a 0% rate until 2020 so I will try and pay a bit more off the higher rate for the time being and see if I can get my debt down more.0
