Hi Lilith
Really pleased you got onto the therapy course - well done. All I can offer is support on your husband's redundancy - ex OHs employers made them all redundant a few years ago but thankfully they honoured the redundancy for those that moved before the workplace closed. I hope it works out for OH.0 -
Thanks Munchin. Hubby said the other day he wants to work for himself and none of the jobs he's looking at really inspire him. It means he's going to need to increase the private work he's doing and I've said he needs to start putting in the ground work now rather than wait until his job ends.
He's been saying this for a while to be honest, but getting him motivated to do something about it has been a battle. I think now his hand is being forced it's put a bit of a rod up his backside0 -
Hi Lilith - I hope all's well with you and hubby and that he has worked out a plan re work.

Hi SSG, still in limbo really. It's chicken and egg because if hubby wants to increase his private work he'll have to drop more time at work and I think he'd rather keep it until the redundancy. We may just have to hope he gets redundancy, but if it's TUPE at least he'll have a job while he looks for another one or tries to focus on his private work. So difficult
Hope you're well0 -
Hi Lilith - all well here with me.
Difficult decisions for your hubby to make - I do hope he gets redundancy to ease the path.
Sending positive vibes.

Wow it's been nearly a month since posting. Time is flying.
Not much else to report. Hubby is hoping to know more about his job in November. I think everyone where he works is pretty fed up, including him, so I hope they get some answers either way.
I'm looking to reduce some private hours, just to give myself some breathing space as I've been feeling pretty tired. Luckily we go away in just over a week, so that will help a lot0 -
Your OH must be pretty fed up waiting to hear about his job Lilith. I hope he hears soon - his employers seem to be dragging it out somewhat.
Not long now though till your trip away!:)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yes it must be awful for all of then. Understandably, morale is really low

Thanks SSG. The break was good, but seems a long time ago now!
Hubby won't hear until January. It's been tough on us both as he keeps changing his mind in terms of choosing to find another job now, or waiting to see if he'll get redundancy. It's frustrating, but we both came to the realisation we just have to sit with the uncertainty
Still putting money away for New York, so at least we'll have that in March to look forward to.0
