Life's been pretty hectic. I recently went to see a friend as I heard she'd gone into a hospice, and she passed away later in the evening after I saw her. I'm in therapy with another therapist to really try and deal with family stuff.

The day job is really busy and what with my private work I feel like i'm burning out. I'm thinking of ways to try and go easier on myself, and I think i'm going to just see one client of an evening rather than two, as it's too much. I only do two evenings a week, but those days I'm up from 4.30am and not getting home 'til 8.30pm so I need to start looking after myself.

It's so tempted to keep on with the private work hours as they are because the money is so helpful - with the extra income I was able to paid off my laptop that I bought last month on my credit card. But, I'm no good for anything if I'm unwell so health needs to start taking priority.

Just caught up with your diary.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and that you've been feeling burnt out lately. I hope the discussions with your therapist help are helpful.

Thanks SSG, therapy is helpful so at least I have that. And thanks for your comment about my friend. It was her funeral this week but I chose not to go as I feel going to the hospice was what I needed to do.

I'm thinking a lot more about self-care and am not taking on so much at work, so gradually I'm feeling less stressed!

Thanks SSG yes it's a work in progress :)

Had my laser eye surgery yesterday. No pain during the surgery, quite a bit of discomfort in the hours after surgery, but this morning I woke up and the most I've had is a gritty feeling in my eyes. Went for a check up and now have better than 20/20 vision :)

Looking forward to the 4 day weekend next week. I've not booked any private clients in on the Saturday so I can have the whole weekend off.

Hope you're enjoying your new enhanced vision Lilith. I remember when I had mine lasered some years ago I couldn't believe how well I could see almost immediately.

    Have a good Easter!
