The weather is deceiving here today,it looks grey miserable and cold but is actually quite warm,I took my dog out and out a scarf and gloves on but had to take them off and undo my coat by the time I got to the bottom of the hill, hopefully it's a taste of spring to come :)

Yes let's hope so. The crocuses are popping up through the soil and so are the daffodils. I like this time of year when we're starting to come out of winter :)

Great news on getting the ok for the course. Will you be able to get any funding from anywhere else ?

Weather here is ok , but need a coat on. I have just treated myself to some daffodils £1 .

I do like daffodils :) We went to B&Q and I bought a new pot for my peace lily which badly needed re-potting. Hopefully it will thrive in its new home :)

I'll see if I can apply for any grants, but I won't hold my hopes up as I tried that when I did my doctorate and was turned down. I'll be able to save the first year's fee by October so that shouldn't be a problem, but a little help with it would be a bonus!

Had a lovely weekend where we took the pooch out for a walk on Sunday. It was glorious sunshine, but we've not done a long walk in a while so we were all pretty shattered when we got home, including the dog!

We go away in a couple of weeks. We've managed to put some spending money aside, so I'm hoping we don't have to dip into our normal wages much. We're staying in the countryside but it's only a train ride from London so we'll be going into London a couple of times. Have to be careful as spends can easily add up there!

Even though I haven't been accept onto my training yet I'm going to start saving for my course which starts in October; I don't want to get into more debt over it. It'll mean I can't pay as much off my debt each month as I'd like, but I've got to balance getting my debt sorted with furthering my career, which should help with paying the debt off in the end anyway :)

What a week. Had a bit of a meltdown at work - I went to see my supervisor about something on Wednesday and she asked if I was okay as she said I looked a bit "distracted". So me being me just burst into tears :rotfl:

My supervisor was really supportive. We've got lots of work on and someone has gone off sick so I'm needed to help cover things, which is fine. My problem is the pressure I put on myself to do things perfectly and I always think I could be doing more. My supervisor reassured me I'm doing a great job, so that was nice to hear. She also said that the job was not worth making myself ill over so I need to remind myself of what is realistic for me to do with the time I have. I think all this pressure I've been putting on myself just came out on Wednesday. I need to be kinder to myself.

In other news, I think my laptop is gearing up to go to laptop heaven, so I've had to buy another one on the credit card as I use the laptop so much. Although I was reluctant to put it on my card, I'll be able to pay it off over a couple of months so it's not too bad.

One more week at work and then we go on holiday thank goodness :D

    Hi Lilith

Sometimes a good cry does you the world of good. When I was seeing my councillor she said that if I continually give my paddle to other people I will have nothing for myself and will be adrift in my canoe...…… I know what she was getting at - self care first:).

So true! I definitely need to care for myself a bit better :)
