Now we've been informed there are several confirmed Covid cases in the office since we started the new working pattern 2 weeks ago. Great!

In other news, Mr SA has somehow worn a hole in the toe of his only a few weeks old canvas shoes. His reaction was 'I want some more'. I told him it's no longer the weather for summer canvas shoes and he's to start wearing his trainers. It's not as if he hasn't got plenty of footwear!

Illness doesn't stay static.  Just tell them pre-covid was nearly 2 years ago and that Mr SA has deteriorated in that time.  
I love the 'I want some more' from Mr SA, maybe we'd better start calling him Oliver

I would also say Mr SA has deteriorated and become more reliant on you during lockdown…which from what you’ve written in your diary is true.  I’m amazed you’ve managed to work as long as you have.

I think, given that Mr SA ("Oliver"! ) is having a spate of falls recently, you would have a good case for saying you need to be within reach. I'm sorry to say the fact he has good days and bad days doesn't change the worst case scenario. If he fell and got stuck or injured and had to stay there till you got home, especially with colder weather coming, he would be in much more danger than if you were within reach.

Have a look back through the last month or so of your posts and build a case for being based at home.

Thank you for the thoughts on WFH on a permanent basis. I’ll certainly push for 4 days from home if 5 not feasible. With a bit of advance planning 1 day a week in is doable.

Flu jabs done ✔️ Flu clinic was very busy, like a factory production line. Not a lot of social distancing going off to say it was at the GP surgery.

Just waiting for DS and the GKs to arrive. DIL has recently finished her nail technician training and is going to do me a Halloween themed manicure 🎃 She’s thinking black with orange glitter which sounds fabulous to me 🤩

Definitely think you have a good case to work at home SA especially with the falls risk. I honestly don't know why they make people go to the office if they can do their job perfectly well from home. I know there are benefits to seeing your co workers but if it's causing stress at home it's not worth it.
Im loving the sound of your nails. I'd love to have mine done but we aren't allowed any polish at work 😟

I never do mine as I’m so hard on them if peels in hours and then looks scruffy…I’ve never mastered ladylike.
