Is she getting on a bit (the dog, I mean)? Ours was struggling to last, so now we wake her up for a ‘very last wee’ before lights out and that has helped her last until morning. After a few nightly disruptions we realised she’s getting on a bit now so can’t last the longer times she used to. It’s sometimes a struggle to wake her though, we have to tempt her out of bed with a bonio as she’s too big to lift! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It is quite scary that he still wants to drive, probably quite good that you don’t have a car or he’d be borrowing the keys and taking it a spin.January spends - £587.583

Our dog very uncharacteristically did a wee on DDs duvet last night 🙀luckily it hadn't soaked through to the mattress or I would have throttled her. I've had to wash the duvet today which was a bit dicey in my machine 🙀

Happy Thursday 😎
The dog woke me up at 4am this morning. She'd heard something outside and started barking so I had to let her run down the garden and do her security checks. I'm not joking she can hear a pin drop! Fortunately she was back in 5 minutes later and I fell straight back to sleep.
We should be having the bird cowl fitted to the chimney today. Not heard anything from the chap who's doing it but he put it in his diary when he was last here so am assuming he's still coming depending on it not raining.
I need to go to Lidl later this morning. Also need to clean the bedrooms and mop the floors.
Will have to remember to sort out my work stuff for tomorrow's visit to the office. Got 2 carrier bags full of books for a colleague I swap books with but won't be able to manage them all. Not particularly looking forward to it to be honest, although it will be good to escape from the confines of the house for the day. I need to get the dog a new collar and my workplace is near a Pets at Home so another positive.
Have a good one, nearly Friday 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Good morning. I’ve had the last few collars from Amazon..ancol padded ones, which are good for my big dog and work out much cheaper than pets at home. On the other hand I will spend eye watering amounts on treats every time I set foot in that place…dangerous 🤣
I hope your chimney gets sorted today. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hope the chimney man turns up and that work goes ok. It will be strange going back in the office.January spends - £587.583

How did the office go? I've found going back to 'normal' (or at least something approaching it) is an odd mixture of wonder ('So this still exists!'), rather worrying forgetfulness ('Oops, I forgot my mask') and wondering why people can't adhere to safety guidelines.
I hope the chimney got done?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

A bit late but happy Friday 🥳
I’ve been in the office today, it was ok, glad it’s only once a week. Saw some people I know so had a few chats which was nice. Other than that it was really quiet, used to having the radio on at home. We only have to wear a mask to walk about, once seated it can come off. You should see the state of my mask, it’s covered in makeup.Finished work early and went shopping 🛍 Got the dog 2 new collars £7 for both, one is a Christmas one. Got Mr SA some joggers from Sainsbury’s and a top for me from M&S. Probably best for my bank balance I’m only at work once a week 😆
One thing I’ve really missed is a good shopping session and a trip to the pub for lunch afterwards.22,000 steps done and my feet are feeling it. Got too used to working in my slippers 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Forgot to add the bird cowl man hasn’t been. I may have got the date mixed up but will message him to see what’s happening.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
