I’ve got a work seminar this morning that I have to view on my iPad rather than the work computer, apparently it works better on a personal device as there are potentially thousands of us watching it. Instead of just sitting there at my desk watching it I’m going to walk on my treadmill. Will make up for not going for a walk this morning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Having problems with my washing machine at the moment. The code it keeps showing on the display means it’s the door lock. DH has yooutubed it and thinks he can fix it. Ordered new part. Fingers crossed it works, I’m lost without my washing machine. If not new machine required, Many of them dont have wash programmes under an hour. My DIL’s machine takes anywhere near to 3 to 4 hours to do a wash.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.004

Oh my 3-4 hours to do a wash 😱 I only use 2 programmes on mine, the 28 minute quick wash and the 1hr 44 mins hot wash.It worked quite well watching the seminar whilst walking on the treadmill. It was a really interesting seminar actually. Took the dog on the park at lunchtime and the council were there again this time with chainsaws and strimmers. It’s getting a good tidy up this week that’s for sure. Did a Pilates session after work followed by a mindfulness stretch.I’m shattered after last night’s fitful sleeping so it won’t be a late one tonight. Having said that, apart from when we go on holiday, I don’t think I’ve had a late one since I had the kids in my early twenties 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Awesome that you dont need to trouble the EF.
My last fridge was a hotpoint & was dire.
My FF was second hand last year & is starting to make very worrying noises so been thinking about replacing.

I wonder if it makes any difference if you have them seperate. My fridge is now 30 yrs old & apart from having to replace the internal light it has been fine (Philips) & my freezer is now over 20 years old also Philips. But to not even last 3 years is quite frankly disgusting. I have been thinking of replacing them both but just to get something that has a good rating as these are using 3 or 4 times the electricity that a new one uses, especially now with the way energy prices are going.

My husband will notbuy any appliance that has 2 jobs i.e. washer drier, fridge freezer etc. He was an electronuice engineer and reckons they are not value for money and when one part goes you lose the whole lot and because there are more workings in frequently a similar space they do not have the quality of seperates. I dont know if he is right I am just putting it forward.

I agree with your husband. What I didn't say in my post was that my freezer is tucked away in one corner of my living room, which is much better than where it used to be in the box room, which is much better than my old chest freezer which used to be in the detached garage.
