Just dropping by to say helloNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Can't believe how the week has flown by! Been really busy at work and home.
Budget is still on track and have clocked up another NSD and AFD Tuesday.
Got a £20 voucher from work today as a thank you for organising events
Sat in the dining room tonight in a football free zone. Mr SA is in the living room watching football. Can't believe he's moaning about being on his own all day and why aren't I sitting with him. He was pre-warned before the World Cup started, I said he could watch it but not to expect me to. Grr!!
Payday tomorrowHave picked up a bottle of champers from Aldi to celebrate first proper pay rise wages . We'll have this Saturday night. Got Mr SA his box of Goose Island but warned him it's not going to be a weekly thing.
Going to DS's house Saturday on the train. Need to pick up something for DGD's birthday, she'll be 4 in a few days.
How fab has the weather been this week! Gutted to be indoors but have been outside as much as I can.
Hope everyone has had a good weekI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy new pay

Enjoy your well deserved champers. Sounds like things are going your way and in the right direction for once - pay rise, pond repair and gardener. A relaxing garden is so therapeutic - I love my garden most of the time - it's driving me mad at the moment as too many jobs have been started and not finished -
that's the story of my life though. We had a small patch of artificial grass put in last year and it's made such a difference to the workload.
January spends - £587.580 -
Bet the champers goes down well , when it's opened .
The garden will be lovely when it's done.
Have a lovely time with the DGC this weekend .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Have done really well with the budget this month.
Bought presents for DGD's birthday today - a bath, wicker carry cot and tea set for her dolls. This is what she wants according to DS.
Have bought a few treats for DS and co for tomorrow - beer for DS, flowers for his OH and sweets for the kids. Hope they like them. They've got a lovely garden so looking forward to sitting outside.
Sunday the plan is to go to a local hospice's summer fete. Sounds good and they have a Prosecco/gin bar
Mr SA has recorded Top of the Pops from 1981/1982 on BBC4 - bringing back the memories pre Mr SA days, didn't meet him until 1983Young, free and single - happy days

Cheque paid in, will clear Friday. Payslip viewable online, first full month's wage since my promotion and am £245 a month better off after tax and pension payment
Had boiler serviced today by the gas fitter who installed it a year ago £60. He's offered to restore our pond completely for £500 including pump, pipes, total clean out, re-lining etc. He can do it next week. He does this as a sideline. He's also recommended a landscape gardener he uses who is very good and reasonably priced.
AFD 7/8 tonight. Got a bottle of Becks Blue alcohol free tonight.
Sounds brilliant I love ponds.
