Well done to the gks. I’m so pleased dhs has settled down as I know you had concerns about him.
The biscuit thief 😂😂😂 doesn’t look too bad after the ordeal. I remember ours finding a load of Easter eggs I’d hidden behind the settee whilst waiting for the Easter bunny to arrive. This was before we realised how poorly chocolate could make them. He was no worse for wear….luckily. Whether it was long term damage to his internal organs we’ll never know 😳 talk about giving himself away with a guilty look 😂😂😂January spends - £587.584 -
I remember taking a friends dog to the vet as she had eaten a whole box of chocolates (the dog not the friiend) and after we had been in the surgery she came out and threw up all ovr the waiting room floor having been given an emetic. It certainly worked and she was fine afterwards
) My little Jack Russel however nearly died after finding some chocolate when she was a puppy.

The Joe Wicks recipe was beautiful https://www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/recipe_directory/c/cod-bean-tomato-rosemaryparcels.html
Cooked mine in a dish rather than parcels. Sprinkled a bit of grated cheese on top towards the end of cooking. Also did a bit of extra side veg, I like plenty of veg 😁 Couldn’t get tinned cherry tomatoes so used chopped tomatoes. Would definitely make again 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Morning all, happy hump day
Today will be NSD 4/15. Have been for a run this morning, a different route today. As it's so hilly where I live decent running routes are few and far between, it's bad enough walking up the hills let alone attempting to run up them.
Mr SA has started on the pester list again, he's after a pair of canvas slip on shoes. I've told him to wait until we can go somewhere where he can try them on but he's not prepared to wait. I don't want to order them online as his feet are really wide and they probably wouldn't fit. He's driving me nuts, keeps looking them up on his phone and showing me pictures 😫
I finished sorting out my toiletries yesterday and making a start on the cosmetics today, I really must be ruthless, I've had some of them for years although still unopened. Since I've been WFH I rarely wear make up although will be doing when I'm back in the office and out and about a bit more.
Other things I need to do today are to weed the front drive and paved areas where weeds have appeared because of all the rain. We have a huge long drive and no cars to park on it 🙂 Also need to clean the living room and mop all the floors. For tonight's dinner we are both having scampi but I'm having swede chips rather than normal chips with mine.

That’s Thursday done, today has flown by.Went to Aldi this morning, was really warm and sunny so a very pleasant walk.Finished the cosmetics declutter yesterday, threw loads out. Next decluttering mission is my recipes folder. These are recipes cut out of magazines or printed off websites. Some of them I make time and again so will keep. Some I cut out years ago and still haven’t made. So I need to be ruthless with these too. It’s not as if I haven’t got loads of choice with all the cookbooks I have as well.Paid off the cc balance, I’m in the app every day and if there’s a balance it gets cleared. Also checked finances and tallied budget pots. Had a look at interest rates for savings accounts, nothing great at the minute. Have also looked at overpayments for the additional borrowing and how much I’ll save in interest.Tonight’s dinner is slow cooker mushroom and lentil stew with herb dumplings, it smells delicious 😋 Made two portions so will have the other one for lunch tomorrow.Mr SA is over the moon with the footie. I went to bed before the end of the match and vaguely remember him telling me the score. It’s quite funny where I live as there’s a large Italian presence and every other house has either an England or Italian flag, some have both 😆 It’s going to be lively round here on Sunday 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

You pay your credit card balance off daily why lol know you’re a bit debt adverse but you do realise if it’s interest baring and you pay the statement in full you won’t get charged anything??4

I also pay my card balance off immediately. As soon as I buy something I pay it straight off, meaning sometimes I even show in credit, but the available balance is always the credit limit. I know there’s no interest in waiting, but I worry I may spend it on something else, so out it goes and I feel safe knowing I’ve paid in full for whatever it was that I bought 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I totally agree. Paying anything that I use my card for straight away has been my rule since the lightbulb moment in December. Leaving it until the statement date is dangerous territory. I use my credit card a fair bit because it seems safer than giving out my debit card details but these days I only use it for what I can afford at that moment in time.5

I pay mine straight away too. I pay for food, petrol and spends with my CC to get the points. Also means I pay for this months spends out of this months wages.MFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44004
