You’re not going to believe this but I personally planted 4 lots of herbs in separate tubs. In each of the tubs is a large plant springing up that looks suspiciously like blooming sunflowers- what the heck is going on 😱🤣🤣 Can’t blame it on birds because they’re in the greenhouse.
In other news I managed to get some washing dried in between showers. Dry washing means ironing unfortunately. Switched on the iron and it made a bit of a noise followed by a burning smell then died 😩 I have a spare iron that I take on holiday so didn’t get out of ironing unfortunately 😆 Will have to replace the old one though as not ideal ironing with a small lightweight iron.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

LOL with the sunflowers. We have loads growing here too but at least I knew they were sunflowers. The slugs like them too though so some have succumbed to them. Sorry about having to replace the iron.
I too would be sending Mr SA to respite care or booking yourself a nice solitary break. My mum is carer to my stepdad with dementia and even she gets a break to come down here and his daughter stays with him for a few days. Perhaps Mr SAs sister and your DD could help with him for a few days to give you a break. You need a back up plan in case you get ill and are unable to look after him.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. It's contagious... there's something suspiciously sunflower-ish standing tall in my wall baskets!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Monday 😄
Another week begins.
Went for a run first thing this morning. Dog walking at lunchtime and Pilates after work.
Had a £29.75 underspend on the grocery budget last week. £13 has gone towards the first Ninja payment of £43, £6.75 has gone to the Christmas pot and £10 has gone to the spends pot. Might buy a fruit and veg box this week, not had one for ages.
Today will be NSD 3/15.
Today’s cleaning task is the kitchen. Tonight’s dinner is rice stuffed pepper and salad. Making soup for lunch with leftover carrots. This week’s task to chip away at day by day is to sort out my makeup and toiletries.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

That’s Monday done. Looks like we’ll be going back to the office 1 or 2 days a week some time in August. Priority to be given to those who can’t or don’t want to WFH. We’ll also be given a month’s notice to prepare to go back. 2 days in the office 3 at home would be perfect for me. I don’t actually need to be in the office to do my job but it will be nice to see real people again. Also will be nice to have a mooch around the shops in my lunch break/on the way home 😀
On the mystery flowers front, Mr SA has a tub of assorted mystery plants, one is definitely a lobelia, goodness knows what the rest are 😆
In other news Mr SA has declared he feels unwell, can’t get warm and has headache 🤒I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
