Morning, happy Thursday
Another beautiful sunny day here but very cold again. My morning walk featured a trip to the big Mr T so 8,000 steps done before I start work. Will take the dog for a lunchtime run then do a Joe Wicks workout after work.
Mr SA's painkillers are kicking in and the slippers have passed his strict quality control checks. Can you believe the painkillers he has been prescribed are Naproxen which we already had a load in. If I can remember rightly he was prescribed these before and they made him feel sick so he stopped taking them. Maybe that's why the doctor upped his Omeprazole dose.
Should be a fairly quiet day work-wise. Got a few odds and ends that need doing before I break up tomorrow. Cleaning is the bedroom/hall/stairs/landing. Tonight's dinner is cauliflower madras and rice from freezer stocks.ย
I need to sort out the freezer and see what I've got in there. The meat I got for Mr SA is more or less used up now. I've started doing a meal plan to take us to the end of May, I have some items in the food cupboard that could do with being used up and want to weave them into this plan. Doing a meal plan for Mr SA is actually quite easy because there are very few things that he'll eat, I just have to rotate them around a bit for variety. Also need to sort out the grocery budget as previously I set a weekly one and that seemed to work fine. The past couple of months I've gone to monthly and spend a lot at the beginning of the month which makes it look like there's not a lot left for the rest of the month. I think I'm better off with a weekly budget to be honest.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I wondered if it would be naproxen when you mentioned upping the omaprazole. Iโd been on them years but they took them off me after the 2nd perforation ๐ฅ. They really suited me for pain relief too.
Pleased the slippers have passed the slipper test.
I canโt believe how quickly your holiday has come around. On the countdown to a new bedroom ๐January spends - ยฃ587.586 -
Reading your diary has just reminded me thatย need to crack on and start my daily exercise again. I hurt my knee 15 months ago and was told it was ligament damage so I've rested. My core strength has gone so my back is sore now. I recently had an xray and it's arthritis so I'm having an injection next week and I may as well start exercising again as I can't make it worse. I asked for painkllers yesterday and got co-codamol which suit me better than the naproxen that Mr S_A has been given - less gastric issues. I'm glad that the new slippers have passed quality controlย ๐6

I donโt think the bed is helping with his back, the mattress is terrible even though itโs only 3 or 4 years old. Getting a new one as soon as the bedroom is finished.
Not sure next week is much of a holiday, will be emptying the bedroom and Mr SA wonโt be able to help. Still looking forward to the time off work though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

After a lovely sunny day for the most part itโs now pouring with rain. Hopefully will help put out the fire just outside the city centre that I can see from my back garden. No casualties thank goodness.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
